Akintunde Abiodun Timileyin [1] (born 16 February 1990), known professionally as T.I Blaze, is a Nigerian singer, and songwriter currently signed to Dvpper Music. He rose to stardom with the release of his sleeper hit single "Sometimes" in 2021 which spawned success in 2022, following the remix with one of Nigerian most influential artists in Africa Olamide, which earned him his first chart entry at number three on Nigeria TurnTable Songs chart, [2] and at number sixteen, on TurnTable End of the Year Top 100 of 2022. [3]
On 25 February 2022, Blaze released The Fresh Prince of Lagos, a 6-track extended play. [4] The project lead track including "Sometimes", with guest appearances from Olamide, Rasaqi NFG, and South African rapper Blxckie. [4] On 11 March 2022, he was named Apple Music’s Up Next Artist for Nigeria. [5] On 5 April 2022, Blaze took to his Instagram story to inform the public about a raid that took place at his house by 1 am by NDLEA in search of drugs. [6] The lyrics of "Sometimes", include the word “Canadian Loud”, which brought the attention of the agency. [6] On 29 April 2022, he released "Kilo" featuring Skiibii. On the week of 9 May 2022, "Kilo" debuted at number 17 on TurnTable Nigeria Official song chart. [7]
On 27 August 2022, Blaze performed "Try", "Sometimes "(remix)", and "Kilo" at Johnnie Walker's Walkers District event at Eagles Club in Surulere. [8] On 8 November 2022, he acquired a new car and house. [9] On 18 November 2022, he released his first studio album El Major, independently through Dvpper Music. [10] The project also features guest appearance from Bella Shmurda, BACKROAD GEE, Fave, Skiibii, Camidoh, and Ladipoe. [10] On 11 February 2023, he performed at the 5th Soundcity MVP Awards Festival. Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu , who is known professionally as Burna Boy, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer. He rose to stardom in 2012 after releasing "Like to Party", the lead single from his debut studio album L.I.F.E (2013). Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade, better known by his stage name Mr Eazi, is a Nigerian-Bajan singer, songwriter, and record executive. He is the pioneer of Banku music, a fusion of sound he describes as a mixture of Ghanaian highlife and Nigerian chord progressions and patterns. Mr Eazi relocated to Kumasi in 2008 and enrolled at KNUST, where he began booking artists to perform at college parties. Thy Kingdom Come is the fourth studio album by Nigerian street-pop singer Seyi Vibez. It was released on 24 June 2023, through Vibez Inc, and Dvpper Music. The album included guest appearances from Nigerian indigenous rapper Phyno, and South African singer Ami Faku. It was executively produced by Dvpper Music founder and CEO Dapper, and Seyi Vibez, along with production from Dibs. The album is a mixture of Afropop, Amapiano, Nigerian Hip Hop, Afroswing, R&B/Soul, Arabic hip hop, and Fuji fusion.
"Baddest Boy" is a song by Nigerian singer and songwriter Skiibii, released on 4 November 2021 by More Grace Music. It became a commercial success in Nigeria, and was produced by Runcheck. A remix of the song featuring Davido was released on 21 January 2022 and became a commercial success in the U.K., and America. "Baddest Boy" spent five consecutive weeks at number 1 on TurnTable Top 50, number three on U.K. Official Afrobeats Chart, and at number eleven on Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs.
