TDK Akita General Sports Center is a group of sports facilities located in Nikaho, Akita, Japan. It opened in 1985 and hosted National Sports Festival of Japan soccer games in 2007. [1] It is the former home ground of the TDK SC [1] and adjacent to Shirase Antaractic Expedition Memorial Museum and Nankyoku Park.

It is also known as the Dewa derby or Chokaisan derby, and named after Japan Railways Ōu Main Line which connects Akita City and Tendo, Yamagata. <span class="mw-page-title-main">Tsuchizaki Minato, Akita</span> Neighborhood of Akita City in Akita Prefecture, Japan

Tsuchizaki-Minato is a neighbourhood located in Akita City, Akita Prefecture, Japan. As of 1 October 2009, the neighbourhood had an estimated population of 21,310 and a population density of 3,400 persons per km². The total area of the neibourhood is 6.29 square kilometres (2.43 sq mi). Annexed by the city in 1941, it borders the neighborhoods of Shogunno on the east, Iijima on the north, Mukaihama on the west and Terauchi on the south. The Tsuchizaki area is a port town that developed at the mouth of the Omono River and a place of Port of Akita and Japan Railway Tsuchizaki factory. Tsuchizaki Float Festival is a celebration in the neighbourhood, held every year from July 20 to 21. The Tsuchizaki air raid burned the port facilities and killed more than 250 people on August 14 and 15, 1945.

Raito Ikeda is a professional Japanese baseball player. Selected in the second round of the 2021 NPB Draft from Kokushikan University, he plays infielder for the Chiba Lotte Marines.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Tohoku derby</span> Football club

Tohoku derby (東北ダービー) refers to matches played between professional football clubs of Tohoku region, Japan. This area consists of six prefectures and such clubs include Vanraure Hachinohe, Iwate Grulla Morioka, Vegalta Sendai, Blaublitz Akita, Montedio Yamagata, Fukushima United FC, and Iwaki FC. Historically, the most significant are games which were played between Vegalta and Montedio, the two most successful of Tohoku's football clubs. The Blaublitz vs Montedio derby is called Ōu Honsen and played in the former Dewa Province. The Nambu derby is a football rivalry between Vanraure and Grulla, both teams are based in old Nambu domain territory. The Fukushima derby is the match in the Prefecture, between Fukushima United and Iwaki FC.
