Tampereen Kisatoverit (TKT) is a Finnish multi-sport club from Tampere. They have activity in football, gymnastics, arm wrestling, and volleyball.
TKT was founded by workers of Tampella. It had a strong working class identity since the beginning and is a member of Finnish Workers' Sports Federation. [1]
Football was one of the main sports early on, and is still strongest sport of the club. Back in 1960 TKT played one season in finnish top flight mestaruussarja. Club operates in southeast Tampere and operates a training center in Aitolahti, north of Tampere. [2]

Tampere is a city in the Pirkanmaa region, located in the western part of Finland. Tampere is the most populous inland city in the Nordic countries. It has a population of 255,066; the urban area has a population of 341,696; and the metropolitan area, also known as the Tampere sub-region, has a population of 416,653 in an area of 4,970 km2 (1,920 sq mi). Tampere is the second largest urban area and the third most populous single municipality in Finland, after the cities of Helsinki and Espoo, and the most populous Finnish city outside the Helsinki Metropolitan Area. Today, Tampere is one of the most important urban, economic and cultural centres in the entire inland region.
Tampere University of Technology (TUT) was Finland's second-largest university in engineering sciences. The university was located in Hervanta, a suburb of Tampere. It was merged with the University of Tampere to create the new Tampere University on 1 January 2019.
Veikkausliiga is the premier division of Finnish football, the highest tier of the Finnish football league structure, comprising the top 12 clubs of the country. Its main sponsor is the Finnish national betting agency Veikkaus, hence the league's name. Veikkausliiga was founded in 1990; before that the top division was called Mestaruussarja since 1930 which was an amateur or semi-professional league. Between 1908 and 1930 the championship was decided as a knock-out cup competition.
Tampere Ice Stadium is an indoor sports arena in Tampere, Finland. It is primarily used for ice hockey, and it was the former home arena of Ilves and Tappara of the Finnish Liiga, until after the matches both teams played in November 2021, they moved to play the following matches in the new Nokia Arena. Today, the Ice Stadium is currently in use by the Koovee team.

Koovee is a Finnish sport club based in Tampere. It was founded at 1929 and soon expanded to many different kinds of sports. The full name of the club used to be Tampereen Kilpa-Veljet Ry (TK-V), but it was first changed to KOO-VEE ry and in 2010 to the form Koovee Ry. Koovee is one of the biggest sport clubs in Finland.
Kronohagens Idrottsförening is a sports club from Helsinki, Finland. The club was founded on 27 September 1908, and has been mainly known for the achievements of its association football and handball teams. In the past the club also played at the top level in ice hockey and has won the Kalevan malja in athletics. Other sports that the club participates include shooting, bandy, bowling, and boxing.
The 1956 Finnish Cup was the 2nd season of the main annual association football cup competition in Finland. It was organised as a single-elimination knock–out tournament and participation in the competition was voluntary. The final was held at the Olympic Stadium, Helsinki on 28 October 1956 with Pallo-Pojat defeating Tampereen Kisatoverit by 2–1 before an attendance of 2,020 spectators.

Tampereen-Viipurin Ilves-Kissat is a Finnish football club from Tampere. As of 2017 are playing in the Kolmonen league.
The U20 SM-sarja is the premier junior men’s ice hockey league in Finland. It was previously known as the A-nuorten SM-sarja during 1945 to 1991 and the Nuorten SM-liiga during 1991 to 2020. The league was founded by the Finnish Ice Hockey Association in 1945 and a Finnish Champion in men’s under-20 ice hockey has been named annually since the league’s inaugural season – with the exception of the 2019–20 season, in which the playoffs were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Eighteen to twenty teams compete in the U20 SM-sarja regular season, which is played in a preliminary ranking stage followed by a divisional or group stage.
Niilo Rudolf Tammisalo was an influential figure in Finnish sports in the first half of the 20th century. He was a versatile athlete who represented Finland as a player with the national teams in football, ice hockey, and bandy; he was also on Finnish Champion teams in each of the three sports with domestic clubs. When his career as a player came to a close in the early 1930s, he dedicated himself to coaching, refereeing, teaching, and administrating sports organizations.
Turun Kisa-Veikot is a sports club from Turku, Finland. The club was founded in the then-independent municipality, Maaria, area where they still operate and own a club house. It was established in 1930 as Maarian Kisa-Veikot. Football was played since the formation of the club, other sections include futsal, ice hockey, roller hockey, badminton and capoeira, they also run amateur theatre. The club is a member of the Finnish Workers' Sports Federation, abbreviated as TUL.
Lentävänniemi is a district in the western part of Tampere on the shores of Lake Näsijärvi in Pirkanmaa, Finland. It belongs to the northwestern part of the city and borders the Niemi and Niemenranta borders on the southwest. There are jogging paths along the lake and its shores surrounding the apartment-based Lentävänniemi. In 2014, the population of Lentävänniemi was 4,309.
Kaakinmaa is a district in Tampere, Finland, located in the city center. It includes the area south of Pyynikki Church Park between the Hämeenpuisto park and the Mariankatu street. To the south, the area extends to Eteläpuisto on the shores of Lake Pyhäjärvi. The neighboring parts of the city are Nalkala in the east, Amuri in the north and Pyynikki and Pyynikinrinne in the west. Sometimes Kaakinmaa is incorrectly considered to belong to Pyynikki and Pyynikinrinne; however, Kaakinmaa has its own district.
Lapinniemi is a district in the northern part of Tampere, Finland. It is located on a peninsula formed on the shores of Lake Näsijärvi. Neighboring parts of the city are Petsamo, Lappi and Tampella. It is about a kilometer from the city center of Tampere to Lapinniemi, but it takes about five minutes by bus through Tammela and 10 minutes to the Central Square.
