The Taep'oong International Investment Group of Korea is a Pyongyang-based North Korean company established by the National Defence Commission of North Korea. It officially manages the oversea investments to North Korea. Three of the seven members of board of directors were Kim Jong-il's personal financial managers. [1]

The Liberty Korea Party (Korean: 자유한국당) was a conservative political party in South Korea that was described variously as right-wing,right-wing populist,or far-right. Until February 2017,it was known as the Saenuri Party,and before that as the Hannara Party from 1997 to 2012,both of which are still colloquially used to refer to the party. The party formerly held a plurality of seats in the 20th Assembly before its ruling status was transferred to the Democratic Party of Korea on 27 December 2016,following the creation of the splinter Bareun Party by former Saenuri members who distanced themselves from President Park Geun-hye in the 2016 South Korean political scandal.

The Kaesŏng Industrial Region (KIR) or Kaesŏng Industrial Zone (KIZ) is a special administrative industrial region of North Korea (DPRK). It was formed in 2002 from part of the Kaesŏng Directly-Governed City. On 10 February 2016,it was temporarily closed by the South Korean government and all staff recalled by the Park Geun-hye administration,although the former President of South Korea,Moon Jae-in,signalled his desire to "reopen and expand" the region in 2017.

The K1A1 is an up-gunned variant with a 120 mm 44 caliber smoothbore gun,and outfitted with more modern electronics,ballistic computers,fire control systems,and armor. The Daecheong incident,also known as the Battle of Daecheong,was a skirmish between the South Korean and North Korean navies near the Northern Limit Line (NLL) on 10 November 2009 off Daecheong Island. The incident began at 11:27 am when a North Korean navy patrol boat crossed the NLL,which is not recognized by North Korea (DPRK). After two verbal warnings from South Korean naval units,one of the South Korean patrol boats fired a warning shot. In response,the North Korean boat began firing at the South Korean ship. A patrol boat from the DPRK was seriously damaged,with eight casualties while the navy of South Korea (ROK) sustained no casualties.

Choe Ryong-hae is a North Korean politician and military officer who currently serves as Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly and First Vice President of the State Affairs Commission,holding both positions since April 2019.
