Taichung Apollo is a Taiwanese volleyball team based in Taichung, Taiwan. They compete in the Top Volleyball League.

History

The team is composed of the Feng Yuan Commercial High School volleyball team alumni.

The team took part in their inaugural Top Volleyball League season in 2007 as Chunlee Consulting under the sponsorship of Chunlee Consulting. The team did not participate in 2008 season and resumed in 2009–10 season, with the name Easy Harvest under the sponsorship of East Harvest Sporting Equipment Co., LTD. [1] [2] In 2014, the team was sponsored by Brilliant Footwear Corporation and renamed Taichung Lien Chuang, named after the chairman Lien Hua-Jung's son, Lien Chuang. The Lien Chuang signed Serbian outside hitter Milan Perić and Pakistani opposite Aimal Khan, becoming the first two teams to sign import players in Top Volleyball League history. [3] Despite the Lien Chuang finished as runner-up in the season, the team had faced operational issues and the sponsorship was taken over by C-LiFe Technologies, Inc. The team was renamed Taichung Longpower for the following seasons. [4] In 2021, the team was renamed Taichung Apollo. [5]

The 2022–23 Taichung Suns season was the franchise's 2nd season, its second season in the T1 League, its 2nd in Taichung City. The Suns were with Wang Wei-Chieh as their general manager. On July 1, 2022, the Taoyuan Pilots hired Iurgi Caminos, the head coach of the Taichung Wagor Suns, as their new head coach. On September 18, the Suns promoted Alberto Garcia, the assistant coach of the Taichung Wagor Suns, as their new head coach. On October 25, the Suns named Chris Gavina as their new head coach.

The 2022 T1 League draft was the second edition of the T1 League's annual draft. It was held on July 12, 2022, at Syntrend Creative Park in Taipei City. There were six teams joined the draft, including the Kaohsiung Aquas, the New Taipei CTBC DEA, the Taichung Wagor Suns, the Tainan TSG GhostHawks, the TaiwanBeer HeroBears, and the Taoyuan Leopards. There were 44 players participated in the draft, and 14 players were chosen in 3 rounds.

The 2022–23 T1 League season was the second season of the T1 League, with the Kaohsiung Aquas, the New Taipei CTBC DEA, the Taichung Suns, the Tainan TSG GhostHawks, the TaiwanBeer HeroBears, and the Taoyuan Leopards participating in this competition. The regular season started on October 29, 2022 and ended on April 23, 2023. The All-Star Game was played on February 28. The play-in series started on April 25 and ended on April 27. The semifinals series started on April 28 and ended on May 8. The finals series started on May 13 and ended on May 21. On May 21, the New Taipei CTBC DEA defeated the Tainan TSG GhostHawks, 4–0, winning the 2022–23 season championship.

Win Streak is a Taiwanese volleyball team based in Taichung, Taiwan. They compete in the Top Volleyball League.

The 2023–24 Taipei Taishin Mars season is the franchise's 1st season, its first season in the T1 League, its 1st in Taipei City. The Mars are coached by Brian Adams in his first year as head coach, with Lin You-Ting as their general manager.

The 2023–24 Taichung Suns season was the franchise's 3rd season, its third season in the T1 League, its 3rd in Taichung City. The Suns were with Wang Wei-Chieh as their general manager. On June 29, 2023, the Suns announced that Chris Gavina left the team. On July 1, the Suns named Anthony Tucker as their new head coach. On September 15, the T1 League announced that the 2023–24 season participation rights of the Taichung Suns was cancelled due to financial qualification.
