Strait from the Heart is the second studio album by American country music artist George Strait, released on June 3, 1982 by MCA Records. The album includes Strait's first No. 1 single, "Fool Hearted Memory", as well as follow-up singles "Marina del Rey", "Amarillo by Morning" and "A Fire I Can't Put Out", reaching No. 6, No. 4, and No. 1 respectively on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart. The album peaked at No. 18 on the US Billboard Top Country Albums chart. Strait from the Heart is certified platinum by the RIAA.
Chris Young is the debut album by American country music artist Chris Young, who in 2006 was a winner on the television singing competition Nashville Star. Released on Arista Nashville in 2006, the album produced two chart singles for Young on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts: "Drinkin' Me Lonely" and "You're Gonna Love Me", which respectively reached No. 42 and No. 48, making this the only album of Young's career not to produce any top 40 hits.
Out of the Ashes is the 11th studio album by American country artist Jessi Colter, released in 2006 on Shout! Factory Records. It was Colter's first album in 10 years, and her first country music album in 22 years since 1984's Rock and Roll Lullaby. It was also her first release since 1981 to chart on the Top Country Albums chart, where it reached #61. It was the first album by Colter to be released following the death of her husband and country artist, Waylon Jennings. The title of the album, Out of the Ashes, explains the message that she has remained an artist without the help of Jennings.
That's Life is the ninth studio album by American country music artist Neal McCoy. It was released on August 23, 2005 on his own 903 Music label. Three singles were released from this album: "Billy's Got His Beer Goggles On", the first of these three, reached #10 on the Hot Country Songs charts in 2005, becoming McCoy's first Top Ten hit since "The Shake" in 1997. "The Last of a Dying Breed" peaked at #35, while "Tail on the Tailgate" failed to chart. Also included here is a live rendition of "Hillbilly Rap", the original version of which was an album cut from his 1996 self-titled album.
Trailer Choir was an American country music group composed of vocalists Marc "Butter" Fortney, Crystal Hoyt, and Vincent "Big Vinny" Hickerson. The trio was signed to Show Dog Nashville, a label owned by Toby Keith, in 2007. After recording the song "Off the Hillbilly Hook" for the soundtrack to Keith's film Beer for My Horses, Trailer Choir charted the singles "What Would You Say", "Rockin' the Beer Gut" and "Rollin' Through the Sunshine" on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. These singles were followed by an extended play called Off the Hillbilly Hook and an album called Tailgate. Hoyt departed the group in February 2011. The remaining members took a small hiatus in 2012, but started touring again in 2013 before ending their career again in 2016.
My Kind of Country is the fifth and final studio album released by American musical duo Van Zant. It was released in 2007 by Columbia Records. It peaked at number 10 on the Top Country Albums chart. The album includes the singles "That Scares Me" and "Goes Down Easy", both of which charted on Billboard Hot Country Songs.

This album was followed by the soundtrack to Brooks' film Ambush at Dark Canyon, for which he composed most of the musical score and also starred in.
