Tak Matsumoto Group (often abbreviated as TMG) is a supergroup consisting of members from several bands around the world. It includes Tak Matsumoto, Eric Martin, and Jack Blades. [1] From July to September 2004, they embarked on their "Dodge the Bullet Tour" of Japan. [2]

Contents

After a single, an album, 20 shows, and a live video, the band did not perform again until twenty years later in 2024. In a 2016 interview with Rolling Stone India , Martin said he asked Matsumoto every year about a possible reunion, to which Matsumoto always answered, "Let me think about it". [3]

On February 28, 2024, in an interview with Rockpages.gr, Jack Blades revealed that the band would be making a second album. [4] A week later, on March 8, the band officially announced its reformation 20 years after its initial conception and would be releasing a second album and hold a nationwide tour across Japan. [5] [6]

Blades' most recent efforts include a second solo album and three albums with Revolution Saints, which he was a member of until 2022.

Bad Communication is the first mini-album by the Japanese rock duo B'z, released in 1989. The album was the first hit album for the band, debuting at number 15. The album also includes the band's first two English versions of previous songs—in this case, "Out of the Rain" and "Dakara Sono Te Wo Hanashite", both from their debut album—dubbed "Off the Lock Style". It peaked at number 12 on the Oricon weekly albums chart in 1991, and by 1993, was certified million by the RIAJ. It was eventually certified 3x platinum, selling over 1,200,000 copies. The song was used in a commercial for Fujitsu's FM Towns computers.

It sold over 1,140,000 copies according to Oricon, making it their thirteenth consecutive million-seller single. The album topped the Oricon Albums Chart, selling over 90,000 copies, while the single "Oh Japan ~Our Time Is Now~" reached number 3 on the Oricon Singles Chart with 98,346 copies and was the 95th best-selling single of the year.

Takashi Masuzaki, is a Japanese guitarist, composer and arranger under Being Inc. agency and member of the fusion band DIMENSION. He is a former member of the pop group B.B.Queens and Bluew.
