Reception

Madhusree Ghosh of The Times of India opined that "Honestly, Target Kolkata had potential. The plot, which mixed Kolkata’s underworld with international terrorism, was different from regular commercial movies, the music directors took effort to make melodies worth remembering and especially the cinematography was exceptionally good as the cinematographers took great joy to show Kolkata in light and also in darkness". [1]

Gauriprasanna Majumdar (1925–1986) was an Indian lyricist and writer known for his work in Indian cinema and Bangladeshi cinema. He is most commonly associated with the black and white era of Bengali cinema, when he penned several enduring classics for films. Often considered as one of the greatest and most prominent lyricists of the golden era of Bengali cinema, he is a recipient of numerous accolades. He won the Bengal Film Journalists' Association Awards for best lyricist for Swaralipi (1962), Palatak (1964), Anthony Firingee (1968), Bon Palashir Padabali (1974), Sanyasi Raja (1976) and Anurager Chhoan. His third film was The Parcel for which he won the Best Director award at the 25th Kolkata International Film Festival.

<i>Golondaaj</i> 2021 Indian film

Golondaaj is a 2021 Indian Bengali-language historical sports drama film directed by Dhrubo Banerjee and produced by Shrikant Mohta and Mahendra Soni under the banner of SVF. The film stars Dev, Alexx O'Nell, Anirban Bhattacharya, Ishaa Saha, Indrasish Roy, John Bhattacharya, Mirchi Agni and Srikanta Acharya. It is based on the life of Nagendra Prasad Sarbadhikari, "Father of Indian football". The film was a blockbuster at box-office. Despite Tonic was a blockbuster at box-office but at the end it's runtime Golondaaj was a clean 'theatrical' blockbuster. At Filmfare Awards Bangla 2021, Dhrubo Banerjee won Best Screenplay award for Golondaaj.

The Parcel is a 2020 Indian Bengali-language mystery cum psychological thriller film directed by Indrasis Acharya, produced by Rituparna Sengupta and Krishna Kyal. The film features Rituparna Sengupta, Saswata Chatterjee, Anindya Chatterjee and Ambarish Bhattacharya in lead roles and Sreela Majumdar and Pradip Mukherjee as supporting characters. The story of the film revolves around a doctor-couple and Nandini, the protagonist, and mysterious parcels.

Pathey Holo Deri is a 1957 Bengali film directed by Agradoot. The film has been music composed by Robin Chatterjee.
