There are 40 elementary schools, 12 middle schools, and 11 high schools. Additionally, high school students can enroll in 13 specialty centers, two technical centers, and two Governor's Schools.
Brandermill is a major suburban residential and commercial development in the Southside of Richmond, Virginia. It is located near Midlothian, Virginia at the southern terminus of the Powhite Parkway and is centered on the Swift Creek Reservoir. Rosewell is a former mining village in Midlothian, Scotland, east of Roslin and south-west of Bonnyrigg. The village is in the civil parish of Lasswade and was previously a separate ecclesiastical parish, but has its own Community Council, namely Rosewell and District.

Bellona Arsenal was a 19th-century United States Army post in Chesterfield County, Virginia, above the fall line of the James River west of Richmond, Virginia. Ruins of a powder magazine and other buildings are still standing. The site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
