Taylor Gang Entertainment is an American entertainment company. Co-founded by rapper Wiz Khalifa in 2008, it operates as an independent record label, music management, music production and film company based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. [1] The record label is home to artists such as Wiz Khalifa, Berner, and Juicy J who serves as A&R for the label. [2] [3] TM88 is a producer for the label. The company is currently headquartered at ID Labs in Pittsburgh.

The Taylor Gang was originally coined in 2006 to refer to "Taylors" who are supporters of Wiz Khalifa. [4] Taylor Gang Ent. was co-founded in 2008 by Khalifa. [1] [5] The record label was named after Khalifa's alma mater, Taylor Allderdice High School, and his affinity for Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star sneakers and Taylor Mitchell. [6] [7] Taylor Gang Ent. began as Khalifa's fan base network, street team and home to his crew. The entity later became a full entertainment company encompassing record label, management services, production and film companies. Chevy Woods, Berner, and Tuki Carter all signed to the record label in 2011. [8] [9] [10] In December 2012, Juicy J joined the entertainment company. [11] [12] In 2013, Ty Dolla $ign joined the company as well. [13] [14] In 2014, J.R. Donato signed to the label. [15] That year, Taylor Gang Records selected INgrooves to manage their global distribution and marketing.[ citation needed ]

The record label also doubles as a super group and announced plans to release an album as a group in 2016. [16]

Taylor Gang Ent. partnered with brands to create licensing deals, most notably, Grenco Science in 2014 for a series of vaporizer products and Neff to produce a special 26-piece apparel collection composed of T-shirts, jerseys and hats. The creative collaboration among the label's artists and Neff. [17]

TGOD (Taylor Gang or Die) Mafia is an American supergroup composed of Taylor Gang Entertainment signees. Their debut project, TGOD Mafia: Rude Awakening (2016), peaked at number 26 on the Billboard 200 and was produced entirely by in-house producer TM88. [24]

He signed with Atlantic Records in 2012, and Wiz Khalifa's Taylor Gang Entertainment the following year.

Woods made his first major appearance on Khalifa's 2011 song "Taylor Gang," which received gold certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). He has released the collaborative project The Cookout (2011) with Khalifa, as well as his Gangland mixtape series.

Beach House EP is the debut extended play (EP) by American singer Ty Dolla Sign. It was released on January 21, 2014, by Atlantic Records. The EP features guest appearances from Wiz Khalifa, B.o.B, French Montana, Trey Songz, Twista, Jay Rock, Travis Scott and Fredo Santana, among others. "Or Nah" is a song by American singer Ty Dolla $ign featuring American rapper Wiz Khalifa and American record producer DJ Mustard. Written alongside Lemmie Crockem and Mike Free, the latter of whom produced the song with DJ Mustard, the song was released on January 7, 2014, as the second single from the former's debut EP Beach House EP. The song has since peaked at number 48 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. On April 29, 2014, it officially impacted rhythmic contemporary radio in the United States. The song samples the signature "bed squeaking" from the 2004 hit single "Some Cut".

The 2014 BET Hip Hop Awards was held on October 14, 2014 at Atlanta Civic Center in the ATL. The nominations were announced on September 4, 2014. Snoop Dogg returned as the event's host. Canadian rapper Drake leads the nominations with 8 nominations, while Jay-Z, Pharrell and Future follow him with six. DJ Mustard won the most awards with 4 wins, followed by Drake with 3 wins.

It was released for digital download on August 11, 2017 by Atlantic Records as the album's lead single. It was produced by Ayo N Keyz along with Hitmaka and Floyd "A1" Bentley. It heavily samples Zapp's 1986 single "Computer Love". The song experienced a resurgence in popularity in 2020 due to its usage on TikTok.
