Michael P. Botticelli is an American public health official who served as the director of the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) from March 2014 until the end of President Obama's term. He was named acting director after the resignation of Gil Kerlikowske,and received confirmation from the United States Senate in February 2015. Prior to joining ONDCP,he worked in the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. Following completion of his service as ONDCP Director,he became the executive director of the Grayken Center for Addiction Medicine at the Boston Medical Center.
Johnny DeStefano is an American political advisor who served as Assistant to President Donald Trump and Counselor to the President from 2017 to May 2019. He previously oversaw the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs,White House Presidential Personnel Office,Office of Political Affairs,and Office of Public Liaison. DeStefano entered the Trump administration as Director of Presidential Personnel. After leaving the White House,DeStefano was appointed an adviser to the e-cigarette company Juul.

He is a Republican.
The core White House staff appointments,and most Executive Office of the President officials generally,are not required to be confirmed by the U.S. Senate,with a handful of exceptions. There are about 4,000 positions in the Executive Office of the President.
Rahul Gupta is an American physician from the state of West Virginia. In 2021,he was appointed to serve as director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy by President Joe Biden. Gupta is the first physician to serve in the role. He formerly served at the helm of the West Virginia Bureau for Public Health.
