Taypi K'uchu (Aymara taypi center, middle, k'uchu, q'uch'u corner, [2] "central corner", also spelled Taypi Khuchu) is a 4,928-metre-high (16,168 ft) mountain in the Cordillera Real in the Andes of Bolivia. It is situated in the La Paz Department, Los Andes Province, Batallas Municipality. Taypi K'uchu lies south-west of the mountains Jach'a Juqhu and Ch'iyar T'ikhi and north-west of Qullqi Chata. Aymara language native language in South America

Aymara is an Aymaran language spoken by the Aymara people of the Andes. It is one of only a handful of Native American languages with over one million speakers. Aymara, along with Spanish, is one of the official languages of Bolivia and parts of Peru. It is also spoken, to a much lesser extent, by some communities in northern Chile, where it is a recognized minority language.

Cordillera Real (Bolivia) mountain range

The Cordillera Real is a mountain range in the South American Altiplano of Bolivia. This range of fold mountains, largely composed of granite, is located southeast of Lake Titicaca, and east of the Bolivian capital of La Paz, measuring 125 km in length and 20 km in width. Despite the fact that it is only 17° south of the Equator, the Cordillera Real is relatively densely glaciated. This is due to its proximity to the Amazon lowlands with its associated moist air masses.

The Andes or Andean Mountains are the longest continental mountain range in the world, forming a continuous highland along the western edge of South America. This range is about 7,000 km (4,300 mi) long, about 200 to 700 km wide, and of an average height of about 4,000 m (13,000 ft). The Andes extend from north to south through seven South American countries: Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina.

Janq'u Uyu is a mountain in the Andes, about 5,512 m (18,084 ft) high, located in the Cordillera Real of Bolivia in the La Paz Department, Los Andes Province, Batallas Municipality, Chachakumani Canton on the border with Larecaja Province, Guanay Municipality, Challana Canton. It is situated at the very end of the Janq'u Quta valley between Jisk'a Pata in the north-west and Wila Lluxita in the east, north of Wila Lluxi and Phaq'u Kiwuta.

Phaq'u Kiwuta is a mountain in the Andes, about 5,589 m (18,337 ft) high. It is located in the Cordillera Real of Bolivia in the La Paz Department, Los Andes Province, Batallas Municipality, Kirani Canton. It is situated south-west of the mountain Wila Lluxi, south-east of Warawarani and north of a lake named Quta Thiya in some maps. Other prominent mountains nearby are Jisk'a Pata and Janq'u Uyu in the north, and Wila Lluxita and Mullu Apachita in the north-east, all of them higher than 5,000 m.

Q'ara Quta is a lake on the western side of the Cordillera Real of Bolivia located in the La Paz Department, Los Andes Province, Batallas Municipality, Comunidad Alto Peñas. It lies north-west of the Kunturiri massif, between the lakes Wichhu Quta (5 km) in the south-west and Khotia Quta and Janq'u Quta in the north-east. The lakes are connected by Jach'a Jawira, a river which originates near the mountain Wila Lluxita and flows down to Lake Titicaca. Q'ara Quta is situated at a height of about 4,400 metres (14,400 ft), about 5 km long and 0,65 km at its widest point.

Sura K'uchu is a region in the Cordillera Occidental in the Andes of Bolivia. It is located in the Oruro Department, Sajama Province, Turku Municipality, Chachakumani Canton. Sura K'uchu is situated south-east of the Uqi Uqini volcano and north-east of the volcano Umurata. It lies south of National Route 4 near the Chungara-Tambo Quemado pass. The river Jaruma originates here. It flows to the north-east as an affluent of the Sajama River.

Kimsa Chata (Los Andes)

Kimsa Chata is a mountain in the Cordillera Real in the Andes of Bolivia, about 5,056 metres (16,588 ft) high. It is located in the La Paz Department, Los Andes Province, Batallas Municipality, Kirani Canton. It is situated south-west of the mountains Wila Lluxi, Warawarani and Phaq'u Kiwuta, between the mountain Qala T'uxu in the north and the lake Q'ara Quta in the south.

Tira Karka

Tira K'ark'a is a mountain in the Cordillera Real in the Andes of Bolivia, about 4,974 metres (16,319 ft) high. It lies in the La Paz Department, Los Andes Province, Batallas Municipality. Tira K'ark'a is situated at the lake Q'ara Quta south-west of the mountain Phaq'u Kiwuta.

Chiyar Tikhi

Ch'iyar T'ikhi is a mountain in the Cordillera Real in the Andes of Bolivia, about 5,092 metres (16,706 ft) high. It is situated in the La Paz Department, Los Andes Province, Batallas Municipality. Ch'iyar T'ikhi lies south-west of the mountain Jach'a Qullu, west of Qala T'uxu, north of Qullqi Chata and north-east of Taypi K'uchu. The rivers Pura Purani and Jayllawaya, both tributaries of Lake Titicaca, flow along its northern and southern slopes.

Jacha Pata

Jach'a Pata is a 5,424-metre-high (17,795 ft) mountain in the Cordillera Real in the Andes of Bolivia. It is situated in the La Paz Department, Los Andes Province, Batallas Municipality. Jach'a Pata lies south of Jisk'a Pata, west of Janq'u Uyu, north of Wila Lluxi and north-east of Warawarani.

Qullqi Chata

Qullqi Chata is a 4,876-metre-high (15,997 ft) mountain in the Cordillera Real in the Andes of Bolivia. It is situated in the La Paz Department, Los Andes Province, Batallas Municipality. Qullqi Chata lies south of the mountain Ch'iyar T'ikhi, west of Kimsa Chata and south-east of Taypi K'uchu. The river Jayllawaya, a tributary of Lake Titicaca, flows along its southern slope.

Mich'ini is a mountain in the Cordillera Real in the Andes of Bolivia, about 5,100 metres (16,732 ft) high. It lies in the La Paz Department, Los Andes Province, Batallas Municipality. Mich'ini is situated south-west of the mountains Wila Lluxi and Phaq'u Kiwuta, north-east of Tira K'ark'a and south-east of Kimsa Chata.

Phaqu Qawa (Sajama)

Phaq'u Q'awa is a mountain in the Cordillera Occidental in the Andes of Bolivia, about 5,380 metres (17,651 ft) high. It is situated in the Oruro Department, Sajama Province, in the west of the Curahuara de Carangas Municipality, northwest of the extinct Sajama volcano. It lies south of Qullqi Warani.

Uyu K'uchu is a mountain in the Cordillera Real in the Andes of Bolivia, about 4,800 metres (15,748 ft) high. It is situated in the La Paz Department, Murillo Province, La Paz Municipality. Uyu K'uchu lies south of the mountain Sankayuni and north-east of the mountain Kunturiri.

Jacha Kuchu mountain in Peru

Jach'a K'uchu is a mountain in the Andes of Peru, about 5,200 metres (17,060 ft) high. It is located in the Moquegua Region, Mariscal Nieto Province, Carumas District, and in the Puno Region, El Collao Province, Santa Rosa District. It lies southwest of Qiwña Milluku and northwest of Kurawara (Curahuara). The Janq'u Jaqhi River originates on the east side of the mountain. It flows to the southeast.

Quta K'uchu is a mountain in the La Paz Department in the Andes of Bolivia which reaches a height of approximately 4,820 m (15,810 ft). It is located in the Loayza Province, in the southeast of the Malla Municipality. Quta K'uchu lies southwest of Kimsa Willk'i.
