Teesha Nigam (born 21 December 1991) is an Indian playback singer and the sister of famed Bollywood playback singer Sonu Nigam. [3] [4]

Teesha achieved limelight with the song 'Dheera Dheera' from Magadheera, for which she won the Best Debutant Female Singer at Mirchi Awards and the Best Female Playback Singer Awards at the CineMaa Awards. She has sung in numerous Telugu movies including Super, Bujjigadu, Saleem, Sree, Political Rowdy, Gunde Jhallumandi, and Shirdi Sai.[ citation needed ]She has also sung for multiple Bollywood Films such as Singh Saab The Great, [1] ShortKut [5] and Wanted. [6]

Early life

She was born on 21 December in Bombay (now Mumbai) to singers Agam Kumar Nigam [2] and Shobha Nigam. [7] Her original name was Neekita Nigam. [1] She is the younger sister of Sonu Nigam. [3]

Nigam is recipient of several accolades, including one National Award, two Filmfare Awards and two Filmfare Awards South and four IIFA Award for the Best Playback singer. "Maana Ke Hum Yaar Nahin" is a 2017 Hindi language song from the Indian film Meri Pyaari Bindu. Composed by Sachin–Jigar and written by Kausar Munir, the song is performed by the leading actress of the film Parineeti Chopra in her playback singing debut. The film version, a duet, is performed by Chopra and Sonu Nigam.

The 6th Mirchi Music Awards, presented by the Radio Mirchi, honoured the best of Hindi music from the year 2013. The ceremony was held on 27 February 2014 and was hosted by Sonu Nigam. There were many performances, including those by Sunidhi Chauhan, Arijit Singh, Ankit Tiwari and Mika Singh, who gave a tribute to R. D. Burman for his 75th birth anniversary. Aashiqui 2 won a leading eight awards including Album of the Year and Song of the Year for "Tum Hi Ho".

The 11th Mirchi Music Awards, presented by Indian FM radio station Radio Mirchi, honoured the best music professionals of Hindi language Indian films of 2018. The ceremony was held at the Dome at the National Sports Club of India, Mumbai on 16 February 2019 and was hosted by Indian singer and actor Sonu Nigam. The event included live music performances by Badshah, Neha Kakkar, Meet Bros, Jonita Gandhi, Arko, Papon, Shivam Pathak, and Ashmik Patil, the winner of the Smule Mirchi Cover Star. A new award category, "Recreated Song of the Year," was introduced to recognize the many ‘re-creations’ released in 2018. Padmaavat won several awards including Album of the Year and Song of the Year for "Ghoomar." The show was broadcast on 17 March 2019 on Zee TV.

<i>Kick</i> (soundtrack) 2014 soundtrack album by Himesh Reshammiya, Meet Bros. Anjjan and Yo Yo Honey Singh

Kick is the soundtrack to the 2014 film of the same name directed and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. An adaptation of the eponymous 2009 Telugu film, it stars Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Randeep Hooda and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The soundtrack features 18 songs, with five original tracks curated by Himesh Reshammiya, Meet Bros. Anjjan and Yo Yo Honey Singh and written by Kumaar, Shabbir Ahmed, Mayur Puri, Yo Yo Honey Singh and Jasmine Sandlas. The remainder is accompanied by remixes and alternate versions of those original tracks. T-Series released the soundtrack album on 27 June 2014.
