Teleporter is a compilation album by Australian band Pseudo Echo, featuring four new tracks, five remixed tracks, and live performances.
Pseudo Echo was established in Melbourne in 1982, released 3 studio album and disbanded in November 1989. A ‘best of’ was released in 1995, titled Best Adventures . The band reformed and toured in 1998, leading the release of Teleporter.
Michael Sutton of All Music reviewed the album, saying "On disc one, Pseudo Echo shows that they can still drink from new romantic waters, diving into early-'80s nostalgia on newer tracks like "Hope I Go to Heaven" and "1985." Although some rave touches creep in, vocalist Brian Canham still knows how to carve sharp hooks." On the live performances on disc two, Sutton says "the band doesn't stray from their formula -- high-styled Euro-disco with deep, heavily accented vocals, beeping synthesizers, and dark riffs." adding "they are beautifully dated artifacts from an exciting time in music." Pseudo Echo are an Australian new wave band that were formed in 1982 by Brian Canham, Pierre Gigliotti, and Tony Lugton (keyboards). Later members included Anthony Argiro (drums), James Leigh (keyboards), and Vince Leigh (drums). In the 1980s, Pseudo Echo had multiple Australian top 20 hits with "Listening", "A Beat for You", "Don't Go", "Love an Adventure", and "Living in a Dream". Their 1986 cover of "Funky Town" was an international success, peaking at No. 1 in Australia and New Zealand and becoming a top ten hit in Sweden, Canada, the United States, and in the United Kingdom.
"Funkytown" is a song by American disco-funk group Lipps Inc., written and produced by Steven Greenberg and released by Casablanca Records in March 1980 as the second single from the group's 1979 debut studio album Mouth to Mouth.

The Years 1979–1997 is a greatest hits compilation released by Australian rock band INXS on 10 December 2002. It is roughly the Australian equivalent of the American double-disc retrospective, Shine Like It Does: The Anthology (1979–1997), although it substitutes out several tracks that appeared on the American compilation in favor of later tracks like "By My Side" and "Baby Don't Cry" and full-length versions of many songs that only appeared in their single versions on the American release. This album also includes two previously unreleased tracks, which were not featured on Shine Like It Does.
