Telhar is the name of a waterfall located in the Kaimur district of Bihar, India. The fall is located close to the origins of Durgavati River. It is only a few kilometres from the Durgavati reservoir project. [1]
The water coming out from Telhar Kund remains cool in every season, every month. Amidst the area and Forests of kaimur hills are situated beautiful Telhar Kund Waterfall, Tutla Bhavani Waterfall, Kashish Water Fall, Manjhar Kund and greenery that becomes more vibrant during rainy days. [2]
The Karmanasa River is a tributary of the Ganges. It originates in Kaimur district of Bihar and flows through the Indian states of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Along the boundary between Uttar Pradesh and Bihar it has the districts of Sonbhadra, Chandauli, Varanasi and Ghazipur on its left ; and the districts of Kaimur and Buxar on its right.

Kaimur Range is the eastern portion of the Vindhya Range, about 483 kilometres (300 mi) long, extending from around Katangi in Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh to around Sasaram in Rohtas district of Bihar. It passes through the Rewa and Mirzapur divisions. The range never rises more than a few hundred metres above the surrounding plains and has a maximum width of around 80 km.

The major forest types are Tropical Dry Mixed Deciduous, Dry Sal Forests, Boswellia Forests and Dry Bamboo Brakes. It is home to rare and endangered flora and fauna. Rohtasgarh Fort and Shergarh Fort are also located in these forests. It also have numerous Megaliths, Rock painting of prehistoric age and stone inscription from a bygone era. The Government of Bihar has planned to developed it into Tiger Reserve

Tungareshwar Temple is located in Vasai, Palghar District, Maharashtra, India. Durgavati Canal also known as Kudra Wier Canal or Kudra Project Canal, is a canal located in Kaimur District of Bihar, India. During the British Raj, after Punjab and Agra and Uttrakhand, the government focused on the regions of Buxar, Ghazipur, and Kaimur, which grew the most crops in Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh. The British and Indian governments built many canals in the 1870s-1950s to increase the irrigation of these regions, especially the parganas of Kamsar, Zamania, Sherpur, Ramgarh, Durgawati, Chainpur, Bhabua, Kudra, Kochas, Buxar and Chausa. In these regions mostly Kamsaar Raj and later Chainpur estate and Jagdishpur estate existed. These places also made up the pargana of the Nawab of Ghazipur. These regions had 20 rivers, so irrigation was easy and many canals and tributaries were built to support and improve agriculture there.
