Tempo was an artificial intelligence-enhanced calendar application for iOS. Developed by Tempo AI, a spinoff of SRI International, the application was reviewed by numerous blogs and media outlets, including Wired , [1] VentureBeat , [2] TechCrunch , [3] and others. [4] [5] Raj Singh, Thierry Donneau-Golencer and Corey Hulen are the Co-Founders of Tempo AI, Inc. [6]

Using data (from social media, calendars, emails, contacts, location, etc.) stored on a user's iPhone or iPod touch, Tempo compiled information related to any given event and displayed it when requested, hence making the application context-aware. [7]

The application was launched on February 13, 2013, [8] and a reservation system was implemented on February 18, 2013, in order to handle high demand of over 100,000 signups. [9] The day the reservation system was launched, nearly 73% of the ratings Tempo received in the App Store were one-star, the lowest possible. [10] Previously, the application had received mainly five-star ratings. [11]

On May 29, 2015, it was announced [12] that Tempo had been acquired by Salesforce.com. [13] The Tempo app was shut down on June 30, 2015.

Tap Tap Revenge, also known as Tap Tap Revenge Classic was a music game created by Nate True, and developed and published by Tapulous for iOS in July 2008. It is the first game in Tapulous' Tap Tap series. Development for the game began prior to the release of the iPhone SDK, and was originally entitled Tap Tap Revolution. The goal of the game is to tap each of the colored balls when they reach a line at the bottom of the screen. If the ball is hit on the beat, the player gains points, but if not, it counts as a miss. There are also "shakes", which require the player to move the iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad to the right, left, or middle.

Word Lens was an augmented reality translation application from Quest Visual. Word Lens used the built-in cameras on smartphones and similar devices to quickly scan and identify foreign text, and then translated and displayed the words in another language on the device's display. The words were displayed in the original context on the original background, and the translation was performed in real-time without a connection to the internet. For example, using the viewfinder of a camera to show a shop sign on a smartphone's display would result in a real-time image of the shop sign being displayed, but the words shown on the sign would be the translated words instead of the original foreign words.

Dragon Dictation started as speech recognition application for Apple's iOS platforms, including iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. The app provided automatic speech-to-text capabilities. It was developed by Nuance Communications, and released in December 2009 as a free app. It is now commonly found licensed in vehicle infotainment systems and healthcare equipment.

iOS 15 is the fifteenth major release of the iOS mobile operating system developed by Apple for its iPhone and iPod Touch lines of products. It was announced at the company's Worldwide Developers Conference on June 7, 2021, as the successor to iOS 14, and released to the public on September 20, 2021.
