Tendai Chisoro (born 12 February 1988) is a Zimbabwean cricketer who represents the Zimbabwe national cricket team. He made his international debut for Zimbabwe against Afghanistan in October 2015. [1]
Chisoro was the leading wicket-taker in the 2017–18 Logan Cup for Mid West Rhinos,with 28 dismissals in five matches. [2] He was also the leading wicket-taker for Mid West Rhinos in the 2017–18 Pro50 Championship tournament,with twelve dismissals in eight matches. [3] In December 2020,he was selected to play for the Southern Rocks in the 2020–21 Logan Cup. [4] [5]
In 2022,Chisoro signed with St Patricks Cricket Club and has quickly become one of the most renowned names in regional cricket across Australia.
Chisoro made his One Day International (ODI) debut for Zimbabwe against Afghanistan on 16 October 2015. [6] He made his Twenty20 International debut,also against Afghanistan,on 26 October 2015. [7] Along with Sikandar Raza,they set the highest ninth-wicket partnership for Zimbabwe in ODIs,with 91 not out. [8]
In October 2017,Chisoro was named in Zimbabwe's Test squad for their series against the West Indies. [9] He made his Test debut for Zimbabwe against the West Indies on 29 October 2017. [10]
In June 2018,Chisoro was named in a Zimbabwe Select team for warm-up fixtures ahead of the 2018 Zimbabwe Tri-Nation Series. [11]
Hamilton Masakadza is a Zimbabwean former cricketer,who played all formats of the game for Zimbabwe. He captained the national team during 2016 ICC World T20,but was relieved of his duties following an indifferent team performance in the tournament,where they failed to get past the qualifying round. In February 2019,Zimbabwe Cricket confirmed that Masakadza would captain the national side across all three formats for the 2019–20 season.
Sean Colin Williams is a Zimbabwean international cricketer who is a former captain of the national team in Test cricket. He plays Tests and One Day Internationals,and formerly T20Is,primarily as a batting all-rounder. In September 2019,Zimbabwe Cricket named him as Zimbabwe's captain,after Hamilton Masakadza retired from international cricket. Later the same month,Williams captained Zimbabwe for the first time,in the opening Twenty20 International (T20I) match of the 2019–20 Singapore Tri-Nation Series,against Nepal.
Chamunorwa Justice "Chamu" Chibhabha is a Zimbabwean cricketer who bats right-handed and bowls right-arm medium pace. In January 2020,Zimbabwe Cricket named him as the captain of Zimbabwe's One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I) squads on an interim basis.
The Southern Rocks is one of five Zimbabwean cricket franchises. They are a first-class cricket team,based in the Masvingo and Matabeleland South area. They play their home matches at Masvingo Sports Club in Masvingo. The team initially ceased to play after the 2013–14 season. In their 47 first-class matches they won 3,lost 27,and drew 17. However,in December 2020,Zimbabwe Cricket confirmed they would be one of the teams playing in the 2020–21 Logan Cup Southern Rocks won their first Logan Cup trophy in the same 2020–21 season.
Tendai Larry Chatara is an international cricketer who represents the Zimbabwe national cricket team. A tall,wiry fast bowler with appreciable pace and the ability to move the ball away from the right-hander,Chatara rose quickly to prominence after his first-class debut for Mountaineers in 2009.
Sikandar Raza Butt is a Pakistani-born Zimbabwean international cricketer. He is an all-rounder,who bats right-handed and bowls right arm off-spin. He made his international debut for Zimbabwe in May 2013 and is the first player from his country to score a T20I century.

The 2016–17 Zimbabwe Tri-Series was a One Day International (ODI) cricket tournament that was held in Zimbabwe in November 2016. It was a tri-nation series between the national representative cricket teams of Zimbabwe,Sri Lanka and the West Indies. The Sri Lankan team were originally scheduled to tour Zimbabwe for two Tests,three ODIs and one Twenty20 International (T20I). However,the ODIs and T20I were replaced by this tri-series.

The West Indies cricket team toured Zimbabwe in October and November 2017 to play two Tests matches for the Clive Lloyd Trophy. The teams last played a Test match against each other in March 2013. Ahead of the Test series,the two teams also played a three-day warm-up fixture. The series marked the international comebacks of Brendan Taylor and Kyle Jarvis,after their resignation from their Kolpak deals. West Indies won the series 1–0,after the final match finished in a draw. It was the first Test series win for the West Indies with Jason Holder as captain,and the first time that Zimbabwe had drawn a Test match since playing Bangladesh in January 2005.
