Tenughat Thermal Power Station is a coal-based thermal power plant located at Lalpania in Bokaro district in the Indian state of Jharkhand. The power plant is owned by Jharkhand State owned Tenughat Vidyut Nigam Limited. [1]

Kanti Thermal Power Station also known as George Fernandes Thermal Power Plant Station(GFTPS) is located in Kanti, Muzaffarpur,90 km away from Patna, the capital of the Indian state of Bihar. It is wholly owned subsidiary company of NTPC. The share of the company is 100% of the NTPC. The plant was not functional between 2003 and 2013; however, renovation of both older units paved the way for commercial production of electricity by the end of 2013.
