Terence 'Terry' J. Bartlett (born 2 December 1963 [1] ) is a male retired English gymnast.

Gymnastics career

Bartlett was educated at The Mountbatten School And Language College in Romsey, Hampshire. At the age of 17, Bartlett moved to the United States, where, after graduating, he was offered a scholarship to Pennsylvania State University. [2] He competed for Great Britain at the Olympic Games in 1984, 1988, and 1992, [1] captaining the gymnastics team at the latter event. [3]

He represented England and won a silver medal in the team event, at the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland, New Zealand. [4] [5]

Later career

He has since been performing with the Canadian circus troupe Cirque du Soleil. [2] He trained Charlize Theron for her part in the movie Æon Flux , [6] and is a former boyfriend of Gabby Logan's sister. [7]

Lisa Elena Jane Mason is a British gymnast who has competed for her country at the Commonwealth Games, European championships, World championships and the Olympic Games. She was the vault champion at the 1998 Commonwealth Games, and was part of the first Great Britain women's artistic gymnastic team to qualify for the team event at the Olympic Games.

Wendy Sly MBE is a British former athlete, who competed mainly in the 3000 metres. She won a silver medal in the event at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. She won the 1983 10km World Road Race Championships in San Diego.

Neil Roderick Thomas MBE is a retired English artistic gymnast who experienced most of his success in the floor exercises. An acknowledged inspiration to the golden generation of British gymnasts from 2004 onwards, and a pathfinder for his national programme, he was former world silver medalist and Commonwealth Games Champion and one of the most successful British gymnasts in the history of the sport.

Ian R Peel is a British sport shooter who has represented Great Britain in the Summer Olympic Games on three occasions.

Kristan "Kris" A. Burley is a Canadian gymnast, who has represented Canada at the Commonwealth Games, the Pan American Games and the Olympic Games.

Nicola Willis is a former British female artistic gymnast. She represented Great Britain at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. She also competed for England at the 2002 Commonwealth Games. Her athletes have won medals at Jr. Pan Am Games, Pan Am Senior Championships, Pacific Rim Championships and many International Invitationals. In addition, her athletes have participated in World Championships, Grand Prix and World Cup events. She also founded the Cirque Theatre Company and has written, directed and produced over 20 original productions. Her club is known for its positive culture and whole person approach and is a leading example of safe sport and True Sport qualities.

Dominick "Dom" Adam Cunningham is an English-born elite artistic gymnast representing Ireland since 2022, having previously represented Great Britain and England. He won a team gold at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, and the Individual Floor Gold at the 2018 European Championships in Glasgow.

Joe Fraser is an English artistic gymnast. He is the 2022 European all-around and parallel bars champion and the 2019 world champion on the parallel bars, the first British gymnast to ever win gold in any of these events. As a member of the British Senior team since 2017, he has also won team gold and silver, and bronze on the pommel horse, in the European Artistic Gymnastic Championships. Representing England in the 2022 Commonwealth Games, Fraser won three gold medals in team, pommel horse and parallel bars.

Paul Martin Bowler is a male former British gymnast. Bowler competed in eight events at the 1992 Summer Olympics. He represented England and won a bronze medal in the team event, at the 1994 Commonwealth Games in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

David C J Cox is a male retired British gymnast. Cox competed in eight events at the 1992 Summer Olympics. He represented England and won a silver medal in the team event, at the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland, New Zealand.

James Michael May is a male retired British gymnast. May competed at the 1992 Summer Olympics where he finished 33rd in the individual all around and 12th with Great Britain in the team final. He won five medals at the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland, New Zealand, when representing England. He won a gold medal in the vault, two silver medals in the team event and rings, and two bronze medals in the all-around and pommel horse.
