Tetakawi (formerly The Offshore Group) is a US-based company known for providing shelter services and offshoring services to foreign companies manufacturing in Mexico. [1] [2] [3]

History

Tetakawi was founded in 1986 by Luis Felipe Seldner, Felix Tonella Luken, Roberto Gomez del Campo, and Duane Boyett with the name The Offshore Group. [4] [5]

In 1997, the company opened its Zapa Manufacturing Community in Saltillo, Coahuila. [6] In 2000, the company also opened its Roca Fuerte Manufacturing Community in Mexico. [7] [8]

In 2019, the company re-branded and changed its name to Tetakawi with the launch of two new manufacturing communities in Mexico and new product offerings. [9] [10]

In 2020, the company expanded into Hermosillo. [11] [12]

Product and services

Tetakawi provides shelter services to foreign manufacturers in Mexico. [13] [14] The company also offers Advisory and Support Services for new entrants and companies already operating in Mexico. [15] [16] [17]

Tropical Storm Georgette was a short-lived tropical storm that struck Baja California Sur in September 2010. Georgette originated from an area of disturbed weather over the eastern Pacific ocean on September 20. The next day, the system was upgraded into a tropical storm a short distance south of Baja California Sur. As the storm moved over the peninsula, it weakened to a tropical depression. It continued north and as such made landfall on mainland Mexico on September 22. Georgette dissipated early the next day while located inland over Sonora. Although officials noted the threat for heavy rainfall across northwest Mexico and Baja California, damage was minimal and no deaths were reported in the country. However, remnant moisture moved into New Mexico, producing flooding that killed one person.

Luis Alejandro Capdevielle Flores is a Mexican Lawyer, editor and politician. He is a member of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). He serves as deputy to the state of Sonora in the LXII Legislature. He began the deputy charge after Manlio Fabio Beltrones assumed his position as national PRI leader. Same-sex marriage has been legal in Sonora since 22 October 2021. On 23 September 2021, the Congress of Sonora voted 25–8 to pass a law legalizing same-sex marriage. The legislation was published in the state's official gazette on 21 October, and took effect the following day. Sonora was the 21st Mexican state to open marriage to same-sex couples.
