Richard Douglas Husband was an American astronaut and fighter pilot. He traveled into space twice: as pilot of STS-96 and commander of STS-107. CNS also operates the Y-12 National Security Complex.
KTTZ-TV is a PBS member television station in Lubbock, Texas, United States. It is owned by Texas Tech University alongside radio stations KTTZ-FM (89.1) and KTXT-FM (88.1). Operating under the umbrella branding of Texas Tech Public Media, the three outlets share studios at 17th Street and Indiana Avenue on the Texas Tech campus, adjacent to the transmitter tower shared by KTTZ-TV and KTTZ-FM.

The Edward E. Whitacre Jr. College of Engineering is the college of engineering at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. The engineering program has existed at Texas Tech University since 1925. Additionally, the Whitacre College of Engineering administers graduate engineering degree programs at the university's campus in Amarillo, Texas. Many of the college's degree programs are accredited by ABET. The Whitacre College of Engineering is the first and, presently, only school in the world to offer a doctor of philosophy degree in wind science and engineering.
The Texas A&M–Texas Tech football rivalry is an American college football rivalry between the Texas A&M Aggies football team of Texas A&M University and Texas Tech Red Raiders football team of Texas Tech University. The series began in 1927. The rivalry had continued uninterrupted since 1957 when the two schools became conference rivals. Texas A&M leads the series 37–32–1. Texas A&M started the series with a 12–3 advantage while the two teams played each other as non-conference opponents from 1927–1955. Texas Tech led with a 2–1 record during its probationary membership in the Southwest Conference from 1957–59. Texas A&M led the series during the Southwest Conference years (1960–95) with an 18–17–1 record. Texas Tech led the series during the Big 12 Conference years (1996–2011) with a 10–6 record. In summary, Texas A&M dominated the series during the early years (1927-1955) with a 12-3 advantage, while Texas Tech leads the series in the modern era (1957-2011) with a 29-25-1 advantage. Both teams are tied with six games each for the longest winning streak. Texas Tech holds the longest uninterrupted winning streak of the series, six games between 1968 and 1973, while Texas A&M has the longest nonconsecutive winning streak, six games in 1927, 1932 and 1942 through 1945. Texas A&M currently holds a three-game winning streak but with their departure from the Big 12 Conference in 2012, it is uncertain if the rivalry will continue in the future.
The University of Massachusetts Amherst College of Engineering is one of the schools and colleges at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. It was established on September 1, 1947 as the School of Engineering and now considered as the best public engineering school in New England, enrolling 2250 undergraduate students and 610 graduate students including 300 M.S. students and 310 Ph.D. students for the 2018–2019 school year. Soncy was an unincorporated community in Potter County, located in the U.S. state of Texas. It is now largely within the city limits of Amarillo. Soncy joins St. Francis Boulevard, which runs east to west in the northern section of town, with Hollywood Road routing west to east in the southern section of town.

William Winfield "Windy" Nicklaus was an American football player and coach. He served as the head football coach at Oklahoma Baptist University from 1939 to 1940 and at West Texas A&M University in 1946.
