Thant Phyu Phyu (born 28 September 1966) is a Burmese judoka. She competed in the women's half-middleweight event at the 1992 Summer Olympics. [1]

Phyu Stream passes through the center of the city, and Kwin Stream is the southern boundary of Kyauktadakha Township. Phyu is located 156 feet above sea level.

Ba Saw Phyu was king of Arakan from 1459 to 1482. He acquired Chittagong in 1459, and put down a rebellion there in 1481. He established religious contacts with Ceylon and built the Mahabodhi Shwe-Gu Temple. Though he was beloved by his subjects for his enlightened rule, the king was assassinated by a servant of his eldest son Dawlya.

Saw Bwe Hmu was a co-founder and the band leader of the Burmese band Iron Cross and a well known songwriter. An ethnic Karen Christian, he served as the lead guitarist of the band. Other band members included Chit San Maung (guitar), Khin Maung Thant (bass), Banya Naing (keyboards) and Kha Yan (drums). Lay Phyu, Ah Nge, Myo Gyi and Wyne Wyne were the key singers of that band and R Zarni soon joined the band later. Composers Maung Maung Zaw Latt and L Phyu freed it from its reliance on such popular American bands as Metallica and won it critical acclaim and a wide public. He played the guitar at Success and Symphony music bands before Iron Cross was founded. He composed songs for Kaiser. He was a music critic, writing under the pen name Zar Hlaing.

Iron Cross is a rock band in Myanmar formed by lead guitarist Saw Bwe Hmu. As of 2015, IC's band members included Chit San Maung, Khin Maung Thant, Banyar Naing, and Kha Yan (drummer). Iron Cross has been featured in numerous studio albums for Myanmar's singers. Lay Phyu, Myo Gyi, Ah Nge and Y Wine, who have since launched solo careers, remain IC's lead vocalists.
