Venkat Kumar Gangai Amaren, better known by his stage name Venkat Prabhu, is an Indian Director, actor and playback singer in Tamil films. After completing his education, he began pursuing an acting career, with his first three ventures featuring him in a starring role, failing to release, following which he began appearing in character roles. He entered the spotlight for the first time when he turned director with the summer hit Chennai 600028 (2007). He achieved further commercial successes with his subsequent directorials Saroja (2008), Goa (2010), Mankatha (2011), Biriyani (2013), Masss (2015) and Maanaadu (2021). His father Gangai Amaren is a film director and music director.

Anbe Vaa is a 1966 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy film written and directed by A. C. Tirulokchandar. The film stars M. G. Ramachandran and B. Saroja Devi, with S. A. Ashokan, Nagesh, T. R. Based on the 1961 American film Come September, it follows JB, a wealthy industrialist who goes on vacation to his bungalow in Shimla, only to discover that his caretaker and his wife have left for Kasi after renting the bungalow to a family. The rest of the film revolves around JB's response to this situation.

Kadhal Samrajyam is an unreleased Tamil-language romantic comedy film which was shot from 2001 onwards. The film, directed by Agathiyan and produced by Panchu Arunachalam's son, Subbu Panchu, starred an array of children of famous actors and technicians. The film was launched and completed in 2002 and is ready for release, but, despite the release of the soundtrack and the trailer, it is yet to see the lights of day. It should have been the debut film of Aravind, Charan, Anjana, Venkat Prabhu and Santhoshi, but due to the delay of the film's release they got introduced into the film industry in different ways and through other films.

Irumbu Thirai is a 1960 Indian Tamil-language film produced and directed by S. S. Vasan. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, Vyjayanthimala, K. A. Thangavelu and B. Saroja Devi, with S. V. Ranga Rao, Pandari Bai and Vasundhara Devi in supporting roles. A remake of Vasan's own Hindi film Paigham (1959), it revolves around two brothers Manikam and Kondamuthu and their mill owner.
Saravanan is an Indian actor who has appeared in Tamil-language films. He made his acting debut through Vaidhehi Vanthachu (1991), where he portrayed the lead role. He continued to play the lead roles in films throughout the 1990s, later turning into a producer and director for his films. After a sabbatical, Saravanan made a comeback through Paruthiveeran (2007) in a supporting role. and has since continued to play character roles in Tamil films.
Major Chandrakanth is a 1966 Indian Tamil-language drama film written and directed by K. Balachander. Based on his play of the same name, the film stars Major Sundarrajan, Nagesh, R. Muthuraman, A. V. M. Rajan and Jayalalithaa. Produced by A. V. Meiyappan of AVM Productions, it revolves around a retired and blind major who gives asylum to a fugitive wanted for committing murder, unaware that the victim was his younger son.
Sangili (transl. Chain) is a 1982 Indian Tamil-language action drama film, directed by C. V. Rajendran and produced by S. D. Gunasekaran. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, Prabhu, Sripriya, Major Sundarrajan, Sumithra and M. N. Nambiar. It is a remake of the 1976 Hindi film Kalicharan. The film was released on 14 April 1982.
Sarangadhara is a 1958 Indian Tamil-language film directed by V. S. Raghavan and written by S. D. Sundharam. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan and P. Bhanumathi. Based on the epic of the same name by Gurajada Apparao, it has music by G. Ramanathan and was released on 15 August 1958.
Kaakum Karangal is a 1965 Indian Tamil-language drama film, directed by A. C. Tirulokchandar. Inspired by British writer W. Somerset Maugham's 1925 novel The Painted Veil, it was produced by Murugan Brothers, a subsidiary of AVM Productions. The film stars S. S. Rajendran and C. R. Vijayakumari, with Nagesh, L. Vijayalakshmi, S. V. Subbaiah, Sivakumar and Revathi playing supporting roles. It was released on 19 June 1965, and failed at the box office.
Ninaivil Nindraval is a 1967 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy film directed by Muktha Srinivasan. The film stars Ravichandran and K. R. Vijaya, with Nagesh, Cho, V. S. Raghavan, Anandan, Kumari Sachu, Manorama and Devaki in supporting roles. It revolves around a woman who, following her marriage, suffers amnesia, forgetting the events of her marriage.
Enge Enadhu Kavithai is a 2002 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by Aravind. The film stars Kunal, Krishna Abhishek, Sriman and Rathi, while Nizhalgal Ravi and Manivannan also appear in supporting roles. Featuring music composed by Bharadwaj, the film was released to a mixed response in May 2002. The film's title is based on a song from Kandukondain Kandukondain (2000).

Thiyagu is a 1990 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by S. P. Muthuraman and written by Sivasankari. Produced by AVM Productions. It is based on the TV series Oru Manithanin Kathai, itself based on Sivasankari's novel by the same name. The film stars Raghuvaran, reprising his role from the TV series. It was released on 5 October 1990, and failed commercially.
Oru Murai Sollividu is a 2004 Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by A. Jawahar. The film stars Rohit and Janapriya in lead roles with Yugendran and Radha Ravi in pivotal supporting roles. The film marks the film debut of Rohit and the Tamil film debut of Janapriya. This is Jawahar's second film after Maaran (2002).
