The Castellows are an American neotraditional country music trio consisting of sisters Eleanor, Lily, and Powell Balkcom. [1] Eleanor and Powell are two of triplets. [2] Lily is their younger sister, about eighteen months junior. [3] Born in Georgetown, Quitman County, Georgia, [2] the sisters moved to Nashville in 2023 and signed a record deal with Warner Music Nashville and Warner Records. Their first EP, A Little Goes a Long Way , was released on February 9, 2024. Castellow was their great-grandmother's maiden name. [4]

Career

The Castellows began attracting attention in 2022 through posting cover song performances to their Instagram and TikTok accounts. [5] In January 2023, the group caught interest from insiders in the music industry. [6] The sisters had not considered a career in music until March of that year. [3] By the Spring, the trio had received interest from the industry nationwide. [7] In October, they signed a record deal with Warner Music Nashville and Warner Records, and released their debut single "No. 7 Road". [6] [8] This was followed by a cover of Leon Everette's "Hurricane" in November, [9] and "I Know It'll Never End" in January 2024. [10] Their debut EP, titled A Little Goes a Long Way and produced by Trina Shoemaker, was released on February 9. [11] The song "I Know It Will Never End" was nominated for the CMT digital-first performance of the year, at the 2024 CMT Music Awards. [12]

Dave & Sugar was a pop-styled American country music trio which enjoyed its peak success in the mid- to late-1970s. The trio consisted of lead singer Dave Rowland and initially on backing vocals, Vicki Hackeman and Jackie Frantz. Over time, the female members ("Sugar") of the group changed: Frantz was replaced by Sue Powell in 1977, who in turn was replaced by Jamie Kaye in 1980, while Hackeman was replaced by Melissa Dean in January 1979. Overall, Dave & Sugar charted 16 times on the Billboard country charts, including three No. 1 hits: "The Door Is Always Open", "Tear Time" and "Golden Tears". Devin Dawson Durrett is an American country music singer and songwriter. He became known after filming a mashup of Taylor Swift songs with his fellow friend Louisa Wendorff on her YouTube channel, which gained popularity on YouTube. His debut single "All on Me" is also his first hit song. With the help of producer Jay Joyce, he signed to Warner Bros. Records in 2017. Dawson's "All on Me" has charted on the Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts.

Chapel Hart, originally known as Hyperphlyy, is an American country music vocal group from Poplarville, Mississippi. The group consists of sisters Danica Hart and Devynn Hart, and their cousin Trea Swindle, all three of whom are vocalists. Chapel Hart has independently released four studio albums and eleven singles. In July 2022, they competed in the seventeenth season of America's Got Talent, where they finished fifth. The group's music is defined by their vocal harmony and influence from other female country acts. The group's most popular song is "You Can Have Him Jolene", an answer song to Dolly Parton's "Jolene".
