The first series of The Circle began on 18 September 2018 on Channel 4, [1] and concluded after 21 days with a live final on 8 October 2018. [2] This series was hosted by Alice Levine and Maya Jama on both the launch and the final, and was narrated by Sophie Willan. Ahead of the series it was announced that players would be competing against each other to become the most popular, but would never actually meet. Instead they would communicate through a specially designed app and be able to portray themselves in any way they choose. [3] The series launched with a total of 1,607,000 including +1 catch-up services. [4] It concluded with 1,125,000.
On 8 October 2018, the series was won by Alex Hobern, who had played the game claiming to be a 25-year-old woman called Kate, using photos of his real-life girlfriend Millie. Alex also won the "viewers champion" for an additional £25,000, claiming £75,000 in total. Freddie Bentley was the series runner-up. [5]
Following this series, it was announced that Alice and Maya would not be returning for the second, with Emma Willis taking over the role as presenter instead.
The contestants taking part in the series were revealed on 18 September 2018. [6] However throughout the series more players joined The Circle.

For the first series, the contestants rated one another out of five throughout. At the end of each ratings their average scores were revealed from highest to lowest to the players. The two highest rated players became "influencers", while the remaining players were at risk of being "blocked" by the influencers.

Teen Big Brother: The Experiment also known as Teen Big Brother is a United Kingdom reality television spin off of the show Big Brother where a group of teenagers lived in the Big Brother House for ten days. It was pre-recorded on 30 July - 8 August 2003 shortly after the fourth series of Big Brother ended and was aired on Channel 4 over five nights on 13–17 October 2003. The programme consisted of five episodes, each approximately 60 minutes long including adverts, with Elaine Hackett serving as executive producer for Endemol UK Productions. Channel 4 announced the series on 22 May 2003 for the broadcaster's educational division 4Learning with the aim of transmitting the series in late 2003 or early 2004. The series was controversial as some felt the broadcaster was exploiting the teenagers while the program featured the first sexual act between two contestants in the history of the British adaptation of Big Brother.
The Glass House is the debut and only season of the American reality game show The Glass House. The contestants moved into the house on June 10, with the first live feed "webisode" premiering the following day. The series had its television debut on June 18, 2012 on ABC. The show is set to air ten episodes, lasting a total of ten weeks. The season ended on August 16, lasting a total of 68 days. The airing episodes feature highlights from the previous week, as well as the competitions and evictions. Also on the episodes, two contestants will be sent to limbo each week, meaning they are in danger of being eliminated. Immediately after the show's announcement, it drew comparison to popular reality television series Big Brother, which later led to a lawsuit from Big Brother's network, CBS. The show was officially announced to be cancelled by ABC producers on May 29, 2013, almost a year after the show had premiered.
The Challenge: Battle of the Bloodlines is the 27th season of MTV's reality game show, The Challenge. Filming occurred in Bodrum, Turkey and Berlin, Germany during June and July 2015, with former cast members from MTV's The Real World, Road Rules, The Challenge, and Are You the One? competing both with and against their relatives. The series was confirmed in June 2020, and was filmed during Autumn 2020 in its usual location in Salford, England. Unlike the regular series, the celebrity players, if they decided to play as a catfish, were limited to playing as other celebrities.
