The Cold White Light is an album by the Finnish metal band Sentenced, released in May 2002 on Century Media. Limited copies contain the video for the song "Killing Me Killing You" from the band's previous album Crimson plus a free Sentenced sticker. Konevitsan kirkonkellot ("The Church Bells of Konevets") was originally recorded by Piirpauke in 1974.

North from Here is the second album by the Finnish metal band Sentenced. Lyrics of the album deal with Sentenced's typical melancholy, but some also deal with the mythology and history of Finnish warfare and the national romantic epic of Kalevala. Prior the release of North From Here the band had developed their playing skills further and established a more personal sound, drawing influence from a number of extreme metal bands including Atheist, Nocturnus, Bathory and the early works of Darkthrone, but on the opposite spectrum, also more rock-oriented acts such as Faith No More and Primus.

Sami Kukkohovi Finnish musician

Sami Kukkohovi is a Finnish musician, best known as the bassist of the Finnish metal band, Sentenced. He joined the band in 1996, replacing Taneli Jarva, and stayed with Sentenced up until they disbanded in 2005. Firstly, he was only a session member on gigs, but after that he joined the band officially. In addition to playing the bass guitar, he was also the back-up vocalist. Kukkohovi has been the guitar player for the hard rock band Solution 13 during his time with Sentenced. On live shows of the Doom metal band KYPCK, the crew is strengthened by Sami Kukkohovi, playing the second guitar. Currently Kukkohovi is playing with his new band Fiasco General.

Vesa Ranta is a Finnish drummer. He was one of the original members of the bands Sentenced and The Man-Eating Tree. He is also a fine art photographer and was owner of the Nuclear Nightclub live music club and bar in downtown Oulu.

Piirpauke is a Finnish musical group combining free jazz, flamenco, mbalax, Arabesque, carnatic, romantic, modern, classical, humppa, impressionist, hindustani, salsa, Amharic, Lappjoik, Tibetan, Balkan, Karelian, Finnish, national romantic and rock music influences in their compositions.

Konevitsan kirkonkellot

Konevitsan kirkonkellot is a Karelian folk melody, best known as the 1975 recording of Finnish music group Piirpauke. It repeats the chime of the church bells of the Konevsky Monastery in Lake Ladoga. The melody was first recorded by kantele player Ulla Katajavuori in 1952. Other recorded versions include the 1978 version by Matti Kontio, Martti Pokela and Eeva-Leena Sariola, and the 2002 version by heavy metal band Sentenced, used as an intro in their album The Cold White Light.

Free Spirit (band)

Free Spirit is a hard rock band from Seinäjoki, Finland who write and compose their own songs. In 2009, the band released their debut album which was followed by the second album in 2014. Both albums were recorded and produced in the band's own studio facility. Taken from Friedrich Nietzsche's book The Antichrist, the band's name describes a Free Spirit in chapter 13 as a person who is not bound to religion or politics.
