Down is the fourth album by the Finnish metal band Sentenced, released in November 1996 via Century Media. It is also the first album including the vocalist Ville Laihiala. This album is the band's first pure gothic metal album.

Limited copies contain the video for the song "Killing Me Killing You" from the band's previous album Crimson plus a free Sentenced sticker. Konevitsan kirkonkellot was originally recorded by Piirpauke in 1974.

How Like a Winter

How Like a Winter is a gothic doom metal band from Italy that was formed in the mid-1990s, although their first recording wasn't until much later. The band's music, which can be described as atmospheric and melancholy, is composed using violins, various classical, acoustic and electric guitars, and features male and female vocalists; the band members all use evocative pseudonyms. Male vocals are both clean and growled, whereas the female duo of Tragedy and Misery are invariably clean. Delicate violins mingle with heavy guitar riffs and are complemented by acoustic guitar solos. The band's music has been likened to that of Paradise Lost, Celestial Season, Novembers Doom, Shape of Despair, and My Dying Bride. Guitarist Mist lists My Dying Bride as a great inspiration, along with Opeth and Katatonia among others.

Carrion made a total of two demos and one full-length album under SriLanca Records. Poltergeist released a total of two full-length albums and three demos under Century Media Records. They also released a single and a full-length album under Haunted House Records. Poltergeist is now signed to Massacre Records and released their latest album, entitled Feather of Truth, on July 3, 2020.

Katalepsy is a Russian death metal band from Moscow. The group formed in 2003, and have released two split albums, one EP, three full-length albums, and one demo. The band's name is a variation of the word "catalepsy", a disorder involving catatonic schizophrenia. Some lyrical themes of the band include gore, violence, splatter, murder and perversions. They are currently signed to Unique Leader Records. Following the departure of guitarist "Helv" in 2009, no original members remain in the band.
