The screenplay by George Worthing Yates was designed to showcase the stop motion animation special effects of Ray Harryhausen.
"Three Billy Goats Gruff" is a Norwegian fairy tale collected by Peter Christen Asbjørnsen and Jørgen Moe in their Norske Folkeeventyr, first published between 1841 and 1844. It has an Aarne-Thompson type of 122E. The first version of the story in English appeared in George Webbe Dasent's translation of some of the Norske Folkeeventyr, published as Popular Tales from the Norse in 1859. The heroes of the tale are three male goats who need to outsmart a ravenous troll to cross the bridge to their feeding ground.

Rhys Lawson is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera Neighbours, played by Ben Barber. The actor's casting was announced on 18 May 2011 and he began filming his first scenes the week before opposite established cast members Alan Fletcher and Jackie Woodburne. Barber said he loved his character and was looking forward to what was ahead. He made his debut screen appearance on 13 July 2011. In November 2012, it was announced that Barber would be leaving Neighbours and Rhys made his last screen appearance on 20 March 2013.

The Tag-Along (紅衣小女孩) is a 2015 Taiwanese horror film directed by Cheng Wei-hao and adapted from a well-known Taiwanese urban legend, "The Little Girl in Red". The film received funding from Taiwan's Bureau of Audiovisual and Music Industry Development and stars Hsu Wei-ning, River Huang and Liu Yin-shang. The film was released in Taiwan on 27 November 2015, and was screened at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival and the 2015 Golden Horse Film Festival as the closing film. It received four nominations at the 53rd Golden Horse Awards.
