"The Essential" is a budget greatest hits album by Australian rock musician Diesel. The album was released in February 2009. [1] It includes tracks from Diesel's first two albums; Johnny Diesel and The Injectors (1989) and Hepfidelity (1992).

In 2008, the album was re-released with an added third disc of songs.

Rest on Me is the first studio album by Kim Carnes. It was released in 1971 on Amos Records and reissued on A&M Records in the late 1970s. The album was also released on CD on many European budget labels in the early 1990s - but with all tracks remixed and, rather curiously, running at a markedly low speed. Most tracks were also lengthened, simply by repeating parts of the tracks. In 2012, the original album was re-mastered and made available, complete and at the correct speed, as an internet download in 2012 and on CD on the German Essential Media Group label the following year.
The Essential Kenny G is the fifth greatest hits album by saxophonist Kenny G, released by Arista Records in 2006. It reached number 3 on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz chart. Two different editions of the album were released: the single-disc version contains fifteen songs, while the double-disc edition has 31 songs.
All the Way to the Sun is the ninth studio album by the Norwegian hard rock band TNT. The album was first rumoured to be on the heavy side of TNT, but came out in the end as a more straight forward pop rock album. It did not get as many positive reviews as My Religion but was still regarded as a fairly good TNT album. It also sold less than the previous album. The band toured Norway to support the release as well as shows in Sweden, the UK and in Spain where they recorded what became Live in Madrid before Tony Harnell left the band for professional and personal reasons. "Driving" has been played before several major car races in the USA.
The Essential Glen Campbell Volume Three is the third of a series of three albums which cover Glen Campbell's recordings for Capitol Records from 1962-79. The tracks are presented in a non-chronological order. All three Essential CDs contain, next to single and albums tracks, previously unreleased recordings. On The Essential Glen Campbell Volume Three, these are "Beautiful Brown Eyes", "They'll Never Take Her Love from Me", "All the Way" and "Learnin' the Blues". The last two songs are from a 1979 recording session led by Nelson Riddle. The Essential albums are also notable for containing some of the songs from The Artistry of Glen Campbell, the only original studio album by Campbell that has not been released on CD or as a digital download. Included here is "Tequila".

It features songs from Foster & Lloyd's three studio albums released between 1987 and 1990 presented in chronological order. Two previously unreleased tracks were included, including a rendition of "Don't Go Out With Him", which the duo wrote for Tanya Tucker and T. Graham Brown. This duet version went to #6 on the country charts in 1990.
