The Firm is an album by American pianist Dave Grusin released in 1993, recorded for the GRP label. This album is a soundtrack to the Motion Picture The Firm directed by Sidney Pollack. It reached No. 131 on Billboard's Contemporary Jazz chart. This soundtrack was a 1993 Academy Award nominee for Best Original Score.

In 2015 La-La Land Records issued a remastered and expanded edition, featuring the film score on disc one and the 1993 soundtrack album and bonus tracks on disc two. Italicised tracks on disc one are not used in the film, bold tracks contain material not used in the film.

Robert David Grusin is an American composer, arranger, producer, and pianist. He has composed many scores for feature films and television, and has won numerous awards for his soundtrack and record work, including an Academy Award and ten Grammy Awards. He is the co-founder of GRP Records.

<i>The Firm</i> (novel)

The Firm is a 1991 legal thriller by American writer John Grisham. It was his second book and the first which gained wide popularity; in 1993, after selling 1.5 million copies, it was made into a namesake film starring Tom Cruise, Gene Hackman and Jeanne Tripplehorn. Grisham's first novel, A Time to Kill, came into prominence afterwards due to this novel's success.

The Kerrville Folk Festival is a music festival held for 18 consecutive days in the late spring/early summer at Quiet Valley Ranch near Kerrville, Texas. The event has run annually since 1972. In November 2008, the Kerrville Folk Festival and Kerrville Wine & Music Festival were acquired by the Texas Folk Music Foundation, a 501(c)3 Texas Non-profit Corporation.
