A Dramatic Tour of Events was a worldwide tour by the North American progressive metal/rock band Dream Theater, promoting their eleventh studio album, A Dramatic Turn of Events. It was band's first tour with the new drummer Mike Mangini, who replaced Mike Portnoy after his sudden departure from the band in September 2010. The tour began July 4, 2011 in Rome, Italy and concluded September 1, 2012 in Brasília, Brazil. Unlike the two tours prior, Dream Theater did not tour Australia.

Progressive Nation 2009 was a North American and European tour headlined by the progressive metal band Dream Theater. The tour's concept was created by the drummer Mike Portnoy. The first leg of the tour began on July 24, 2009 in Miami and ended on August 29, 2009 in Los Angeles. The second leg began on September 23 in Helsinki, Finland and ended on October 31 in Ljublijana, Slovenia. This tour was part of the Dream Theater Black Clouds & Silver Linings World Tour, which included a previous European summer tour and following legs in Oceania, South America, North America and two final shows in Japan. It is also the band’s last official tour that featured their founding member and drummer Mike Portnoy before his departure from the group in September 2010.

Progressive Nation 2008 was a North American tour headlined by the progressive metal band Dream Theater. Along with Opeth, Between the Buried and Me, and 3. The tour is the brainchild of Mike Portnoy, who stated, "I've been wanting to assemble a package tour like this for many years now. With all of the festivals and package tours that go through America, I've been talking with our manager and agent for over 10 years now about doing something that focuses on the more progressive, musician-oriented side of hard rock and metal. I decided it was time to stop talking the talk, lace up and finally walk the walk." Unlike previous Dream Theater tours, performances were held in cities that they had not visited before in the past or cities they had not played in for several years. This tour also marked the first time, since the release of Images and Words, where the group performed in small venues and performance halls.

Octavarium Tour was a tour by American progressive metal/rock band Dream Theater. They began touring in support of Octavarium in Europe on June 10, 2005, beginning at the Sweden Rock Festival in Sölvesborg. The main Octavarium world tour began in September in Finland after the band finished performing for six weeks during Gigantour 2005, and saw the band continue with their "An Evening With Dream Theater" concert format.
