The Flood is the second studio album by American rock band Of Mice &Men. It was released on June 14,2011,through Rise Records and was produced by Joey Sturgis. [2] On May 13,2011,they released the song "Still YDG'N". [3] The album was leaked onto the internet on June 10,2011,with Rise Records countering the leak by uploading the album on to their YouTube page four days before the release. The album debuted at number 28 on the Billboard 200,selling over 13,000 copies in its first week,making it one of Rise Records' best-selling releases at the time. It is also the first album to feature rhythm guitarist Alan Ashby,as well as the last release to feature bassist and clean vocalist Shayley Bourget. It marks a considerably heavier,technical musical approach from the band,and a stronger use of clean vocals from Bourget,having him lead three songs on the album ("My Understandings","Purified" and "When You Can't Sleep at Night").
The album was re-released on July 24,2012,and was produced by Cameron Webb. The re-release has four new songs,all written and performed without Bourget,new artwork,and the acoustic bonus track "When You Can't Sleep at Night". [4]

The Flood has been well received by critics. On Metacritic,which assigns a normalized rating out of 100,the album currently holds a 70,based on five reviews,indicating generally positive reviews. [11] The album received 8/10 on Rock Sound ,which described the album "A truly memorable,hip-shaking face-breaker of epic proportions." At Alternative Press ,Phil Freeman rated the album three-and-a-half stars,and called the album "a genuine statement of artistic purpose." [8]
James Shotwell of underthegunreview.net awarded the album an 8.5/10, [12] saying,"While it has its moments of doubt,there is no denying the amount of hard work,passion,and emotion poured into every second of this record." The album also earned a score of 4/5 stars on Propertyofzack.com. [13]
During its first week of sale,the album sold 15,000 copies in the United States. As of January 2014,the album had sold 139,000 copies in the United States. [14]

Linkin Park is an American rock band from Agoura Hills, California. The band's current lineup comprises vocalist/rhythm guitarist/keyboardist Mike Shinoda, lead guitarist Brad Delson, bassist Dave Farrell, DJ/turntablist Joe Hahn and drummer Rob Bourdon, all of whom are founding members. Vocalists Mark Wakefield and Chester Bennington are former members of the band. Categorized as alternative rock, Linkin Park's earlier music spanned a fusion of heavy metal and hip hop, while their later music features more electronica and pop elements.
Metalcore is a fusion genre combining elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk, that originated in the late 1980s. Among other styles blending metal and hardcore, such as crust punk and grindcore, metalcore is noted for its use of breakdowns, which are slow, intense passages conducive to moshing. Other defining instrumentation includes heavy guitar riffs often utilizing percussive pedal tones and double bass drumming. Vocalists in the genre typically perform screaming, more popular bands often combine this with the use of standard singing, usually during the bridge or chorus of a song. However the death growl is also a popular technique within the genre.

Of Mice & Men is an American rock band formed in Costa Mesa, California, in 2009. The band's line-up currently consists of drummer Valentino Arteaga, guitarists Phil Manansala and Alan Ashby, and bassist and lead vocalist Aaron Pauley. The group was founded by former lead vocalist Austin Carlile and former bassist Jaxin Hall in mid-2009 after Carlile's departure from Attack Attack!. Carlile departed from the band in December 2016 citing that a long-term health condition prompted his exit. After Carlile's departure, the band continued to pursue creating music with Pauley as the band's bassist and lead vocalist.
Austin Robert Carlile is an American singer, songwriter, musician and baseball coach from Pensacola, Florida. He achieved prominence as formerly the lead vocalist of Attack Attack! and Of Mice & Men. After leaving Of Mice & Men, he began coaching youth baseball in Costa Rica. A high school athlete, multiple surgeries from Marfan syndrome during his teenage years turned him towards music. In December 2016, Carlile departed from Of Mice & Men due to his Marfan syndrome and the effects that his vocal performances were having on his body.

Crossfaith is a Japanese metalcore band from Osaka that was formed in 2006. Restoring Force is the third studio album by American rock band Of Mice & Men. This is the band's first album to feature bassist and clean vocalist Aaron Pauley. It was released on January 24, 2014, in Europe and Australia, January 27, 2014, in Japan and the UK and January 28, 2014, in the US through Rise Records. It was produced by David Bendeth. A deluxe edition of the album, titled Restoring Force: Full Circle, was released on February 20, 2015. It featured four bonus tracks, including an acoustic version of "Feels Like Forever".

That's Outrageous! was an American post-hardcore band from Poughkeepsie, New York, formed in the winter of 2010. They were signed to Rise Records in March 2011, shortly after posting two self-produced demos on PureVolume. The band released two full-length albums before disbanding in 2013. Despite releasing two albums, they never made a music video.
The Resistance: Rise of The Runaways is the second studio album by American metalcore band Crown the Empire. The album was released on July 22, 2014, through Rise Records. The album was produced by Joey Sturgis and Dan Korneff. It is the band's first album to not feature keyboardist Austin Duncan, as well as the last album to feature lead guitarist Benn Suede, who departed from the band in 2015.
