The Kazoo Funk Orchestra are a music collective from Glasgow, Scotland.
The Kazoo Funk Orchestra formed in Scotland at the end of 2005, as a pre-apocalyptic merry-go-round collective, featuring musicians, anti-poets, dancers and finger painters. Building their melodies at a DIY project studio in producer Ray McCartney's living room, the band exchanged influences and took inspiration from various genres to create their eclectic mix-tape sound.[ citation needed ]
In May 2006, the band released their 25-track debut album, Midnight Finger Painter, in which the first 500 copies included a unique finger painting created by fans and band members. This was followed by a handful of local gigs, before Adventures in Fuzzy Felt Land was released as a thirteen track EP in January 2007.
In the summer of 2007, the collective undertook their first UK tour, including a couple of festival dates. The latter included a closing slot at the 2008 Wickerman Festival.
During the winter of 2007–2008, the band released This Album is Self Titled, their second LP.
A recorded session was aired on BBC Alba in January 2009.

The Wickerman Festival was an annual music festival held near Auchencairn in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. Dubbed "Scotland's Alternative Music festival", its motto was "The Wickerman Festival – it's better than it needs to be!"
Connect Music Festival has taken place annually at the Royal Highland Centre Showgrounds in Edinburgh since 2022. Previously, it was held in the grounds of Inveraray Castle, located on the banks of Loch Fyne in Argyll, Scotland in 2007 and 2008.

We Were Promised Jetpacks are a Scottish indie rock band originally from Edinburgh, formed in 2003. The band consists of Adam Thompson, Sean Smith (bass) and Darren Lackie (drums). Stuart McGachan was a member of the band from 2012 to 2015. On 2 July 2019, founding member Michael Palmer (guitar) announced that he was leaving the band.
Stanley Odd is an alternative hip-hop group based in Scotland combining live instrumentation with samples and loops. Formed in 2009, the band have supported acts such as Arrested Development, Sage Francis and The View, and played at major Scottish festivals T in the Park and Edinburgh's Hogmanay Street Party. Their first album was released in May 2010 on Circular Records. Their self-released follow-up, Reject, was shortlisted for Scottish Album of the Year Award 2013, with their third A Thing Brand New coming in 2014.
The Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show is a British radio programme, broadcast on BBC Radio 6 Music on Saturdays, between 6 pm and 9 pm, and from 2016 until 2022 between 10 pm and 12 midnight on BBC Radio 2. The Radio 6 Music show is presented live by Craig Charles and produced by Simon Hodge, Ben Appleyard and Ellen Orchard for TBI Media. All varieties of funk and soul music are played, from classic tracks to contemporary releases. It is the longest-running show on BBC Radio 6 Music.

However later recordings saw them add Jennifer Muir and Fraser Sneddon (Bass). They have released five EPs and three albums, and their 2014 EP The Bird That Never Flew features guest vocals from Scotland's Makar Liz Lochhead.

Fake Major is a Scottish pop music duo based in Glasgow consisting of the musicians Richard Ferguson and David McGinty, who featured as a back-up vocalist on Snow Patrol's 2006 album "Eyes Open". David McGinty and Richard Ferguson were originally part of the four-piece indie rock band Endor. Fake Major released their debut EP "Have Plenty of Fun" on 1 March 2013 and have played at several mainstream events and festivals such as T in the Park and the Tartan Heart Festival as well as many popular music venues over Scotland.
