The Late B.P. Helium is the solo recording project and, at times, stage name of Elephant Six musician Bryan Poole (born October 30, 1969), [1] who also goes by Bryan Helium.

Poole has spent much of his musical career playing bass [2] and guitar on and off with of Montreal and Elf Power since the mid-1990s. [2] He was also a member of the XTC cover band Helium Kids (a.k.a. The Mummers) from 1994 to 1995. In 2001, he released a few singles and submitted tracks to various compilations before offering his first EP, Kumquat Mae , on his 2002 tour with The Visitations. [1] It was later re-released on Orange Twin Records in 2003, and allowed him to work on his solo debut album, Amok , which was also released on Orange Twin in 2004. [1]

The Beta Band were a Scottish musical group formed in 1996. Their style was described as being "folktronica", although it was mainly a blend of folk, psychedelia, electronica, experimental rock and trip hop, often involving stylistic experimentation. Despite inner conflict and the eventual decline of the group, they became critically acclaimed after releasing their first few recordings and achieved a cult following as they began releasing studio albums, before disbanding in 2004. They were praised by members of both Radiohead and Oasis, the former of which chose them to open for their concerts in 2001. The band's music has been featured in multiple films, including High Fidelity and It's All Gone Pete Tong.

Of Montreal is an American indie pop band from Athens, Georgia. It was founded by frontperson Kevin Barnes in 1996, named after a failed romance between Barnes and a woman "of Montreal." The band is identified as part of the Elephant 6 collective. Throughout its existence, of Montreal's musical style has evolved considerably and drawn inspiration from 1960s psychedelic pop acts.

The Ying Yang Twins are an American hip hop duo consisting of Kaine and D-Roc. They are not actually twin brothers. The group debuted in 2000 and rose to mainstream popularity in 2003 collaborating with Britney Spears on her album In the Zone and with Lil Jon on "Get Low". In 2004 and 2005, Ying Yang Twins became more popular with party singles "Salt Shaker", "Wait ", "Shake" and "Badd". "U Got It Bad" is a song by American singer Usher, released through Arista Records as the second official single from his third studio album 8701 (2001). It was written by the singer Jermaine Dupri and Bryan-Michael Cox, and co-produced by Cox. It was released in the United States on August 21, 2001.
