"The Light in Our Soul" is a song by Helena Paparizou from her album My Number One .
The song, an up-tempo ballad, was the second single from the album. Written by Costas Bigalis, it was initially chosen for the Eurovision Greek National Final, alongside "O.K." and "Let's Get Wild." However, "My Number One" was ultimately selected. "The Light in Our Soul" was later disqualified because a CD demo version, sung by another artist, had been leaked online and made available for sale on an e-tailer's website. [1] Paparizou confirmed the disqualification during a concert in Chicago, Illinois, mentioning that the leak led to the song's exclusion from Eurovision preselection. She humorously remarked that she doesn't use the internet, saying: "No no, I do not use the internet. This is why we don't like the internet."[ citation needed ]
The music video for "The Light in Our Soul" features Paparizou in two distinct settings: one where she is seen singing and another where she walks around a city, illuminating it. The video was recorded in two versions; a Greeklish version aired in Greece, while an English version aired in Sweden.[ citation needed ]

Vasiliki Papathanasiou, generally known as Vicky Leandros, is a Greek singer living in Germany. She is the daughter of singer, musician and composer Leandros Papathanasiou. In 1967, she achieved worldwide fame after gaining fourth place for the country of Luxembourg in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "L'amour est bleu", which became a worldwide hit. She further established her career by winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 1972 with the song "Après Toi", again representing Luxembourg.
Antique is a Swedish-Greek singing duo consisting of Helena Paparizou and Nikos Panagiotidis, originating from Sweden and combining Greek popular music and lyrics with a Nordic dance-pop beat. Both Paparizou and Panagiotidis were born and raised in Sweden by Greek parents. They were the first ever to be nominated for a Swedish Grammis in the category modern dance with a Greek song. In 2001, Antique were selected to represent Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen with the song "Die for You", sung in a blend of English and Greek, ending with a third place – only behind Estonia and hosts Denmark. This group is famous in Scandinavian countries, Cyprus, Greece, Germany and Italy. After 19 years of hiatus the group reunited in March 2022 in Greece releasing a cover hit song from 90's meant to be their comeback in music industry.
Helena Paparizou is a Greek singer, songwriter and television personality. Sarbel-Michael Maronitis known mononimously as Sarbel, is a British-Cypriot pop singer. His singles include "Se Pira Sovara" [ Greek: 'I've just taken you seriously'], and albums Parakseno sinesthima ['Strange feeling'], Sahara and Kati san esena ['Something reminiscent of you']. Ηe represented Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with "Yassou Maria".
"My Number One" is a song recorded by Greek-Swedish singer Helena Paparizou with music composed by Manolis Psaltakis and Christos Dantis, lyrics written by Dantis and Natalia Germanou, and produced by Dantis. It represented Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest 2005, held in Kyiv, resulting in the country's only ever victory in the contest.
Iparhi Logos is Greek singer Helena Paparizou's second studio album, released on 12 April 2006. Containing 29 songs on two discs, the album was certified gold in five weeks and platinum after five months of its release. It was certified platinum on 1 December 2006 at Iera Odos 30 where Paparizou was performing alongside Nino and Paschalis Terzis at the same certification party as the album The Game of Love. It was re-released on 22 May 2007 as Iparhi Logos: Platinum Edition with a bonus CD-single. The album to date has been released physically in Greece, Cyprus, Turkey, Germany, Austria, Taiwan, Switzerland and Japan.
Protereotita is the debut solo album by Greek singer Helena Paparizou, released on 27 June 2004 by Sony Music Greece. The album's first single, Anapandites Kliseis, was released as a CD-single prior to the album's release and reached number 1 on the Greek IFPI singles chart. The album was also re-released twice in Greece, and once internationally as My Number One. Overall, there are five different editions available of the album. The original album was only a mild success, however, following Paparizou's victory in the Eurovision Song Contest the Euro Edition peaked at number one on the charts and was certified platinum by the IFPI. The album was later certified double platinum in early 2006; as IFPI was making a transition in lowering their sales thresholds at that time, this would imply sales of at least 60,000 copies, although sales of up to 87,000 have been claimed.
"Antitheseis" is a song by Greco-Swedish recording artist Helena Paparizou, written by Energee and Ilias Filippou. It was released in 2004 as the lead single from her solo debut album Protereotita and third single overall to radios. Following Paparizou's Eurovision 2005 participation and win, the song was released as a CD single in Sweden in an English version titled "A Brighter Day", with lyrics written by Filippou and Adam Baptiste, as the third single from the Euro Edition of her debut album in Greece and My Number One abroad. The music video of "Antitheseis" is directed by Manolis Tzirakis and features Paparizou in several black and white costumes in an opposition against herself, however, "A Brighter Day" does not have a music video. It peaked at number 24 in Sweden, becoming her least successful single there during her solo career.
"Mambo!" is Helena Paparizou's fifth CD single and the first from her international album The Game of Love. There were two versions of the song; a Greek version and an English version. The Greek version was released in November 2005 in Greece and was a major hit going straight to number one for ten weeks including during Christmas. In total, the song charted for 23 weeks, leaving Helena with her most successful CD single to date. The single was released as a CD single and Sony BMG also re-released Helena's debut album Protereotita for a third time with her single under the name of Protereotita: Euro Edition + Mambo!.
Greece won the Eurovision Song Contest 2005, its first Eurovision Song Contest victory. Greek national broadcaster Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation (ERT) internally selected Helena Paparizou who sang "My Number One" in Kyiv, winning the competition with 230 points. The Game of Love is the Greek singer Helena Paparizou's second English-language international album after the release of My Number One in 2005. It was first released in Greece on 25 October 2006. The album is composed of 12 tracks and a bonus track; seven of these had been previously released on Paparizou's previous album Iparhi Logos, and another was released exclusively to Scandinavia as the official song of the European Athletics Championships. Five of the songs were just English translations of Greek songs as well as two covers. The album was Paparizou's second album in Scandinavia. The album has enjoyed mild success in Greece and Cyprus where it topped the charts and quickly attained platinum certification, while it failed to chart in other countries.

Vrisko To Logo Na Zo is the third Greek-language studio album and fifth studio album overall by Greek singer Helena Paparizou, released on June 12, 2008 by Sony BMG Greece. It was the first time that "DON - K" had produced an entire album. It was also the first time for Paparizou to contribute to an album both musically and lyrically. It was also the first time that a duet was included on one of her solo albums.
