The Lords of Flatbush is the second mixtape by American hip hop duo The Underachievers. It was released on August 29, 2013 by Elevated Nations and Brainfeeder, it was distributed by RPM MSC. The mixtape features production by Lex Luger, Eff Dope and Erick Arc Elliott. [1] [2]

Title

The Underachievers pay homage to a Brooklyn 1974 film of the same name about the coming of age of four young men in 1958. The EP grabs influence from the movie, known for its racy scenes about stealing cars and bar fights, capturing a similar relentless, youthful energy. [3]

Pro Era is an American hip hop collective group from Brooklyn, New York. The group is a collective of rappers and record producers that includes east coast rappers Joey Badass, CJ Fly, Kirk Knight, Nyck Caution, Dyemond Lewis, Aaron Rose, Dessy Hinds, Dirty Sanchez, Rokamouth, J.A.B. and Jakk the Rhymer, along with producers Chuck Strangers and Powers Pleasant. The collective was formed in 2011 by Capital STEEZ and Powers Pleasant, with Joey Badass and CJ Fly among its founding members.

ASAP Twelvyy

Jamel Phillips, better known as his stage name ASAP Twelvyy, is an American rapper from Harlem, New York City. He is a member of the hip hop group ASAP Mob, from which he adopted his moniker. In 2014, he released the song "Xscape", the second single to the ASAP Mob's debut album L.O.R.D. The album was supposed to be released in 2014, but it was officially scrapped. On August 4, 2017, ASAP Twelvyy released his debut album, titled 12.

The Underachievers

The Underachievers are an American hip hop duo from Flatbush, Brooklyn, New York. Formed in 2011, the duo is composed of rappers AKTHESAVIOR and Issa Gold. American record producer Flying Lotus signed the duo to his Brainfeeder record label in 2012. Following that signing they independently released two mixtapes, Indigoism and Lords of Flatbush in 2013. Their debut studio album Cellar Door: Terminus Ut Exordium was released on August 12, 2014. The Underachievers released their second official album Evermore: The Art of Duality on September 25, 2015. Their third album, Renaissance was released on May 19, 2017. They released After the Rain on November 9, 2018, and Lords Of Flatbush 3 on June 21, 2019.

Indigoism is the debut mixtape by American hip hop duo The Underachievers, released on February 1, 2013 as a free digital download via Brainfeeder. The mixtape was produced by Mr Bristol, Rich Flyer, The Entreproducers, Bruce Leekixs, Dreamrite and Lou Chapo, among others. Upon its release, it was met with universal acclaim by music critics.

Courtney Everald "Jamal" Dewar Jr., better known by his stage name Capital Steez, was an American rapper and songwriter from Brooklyn, New York. He was the founder of the Brooklyn-based rap collective Pro Era, along with childhood friend Joey Bada$$.

CJ Fly

Chaine St. Aubin Downer Jr., better known by his stage name CJ Fly, is an American rapper and producer from Brooklyn, New York City. He is a founding member and the oldest member of the hip-hop collective group Pro Era. Throughout 2012 and 2013, he was featured on many of the collective's projects and towards the end of 2013, he released his critically acclaimed mixtape Thee Way Eye See It.

Nathaniel De La Rosa, known professionally as Bodega Bamz, is an American rapper and actor from Spanish Harlem, New York. De La Rosa first attracted attention for his 2012 mixtape, Strictly 4 My P.A.P.I.Z, which featured ASAP Ferg, Joell Ortiz, A$ton Matthews, Tego Calderon and Flatbush Zombies. BetterOffDEAD is the second mixtape by American hip hop trio Flatbush Zombies. It was released on September 11, 2013, by ElectricKoolAde Records.

Akeem Joseph, better known by his stage name AKTHESAVIOR, is an American rapper from Brooklyn, New York. He is one half of the hip hop duo The Underachievers, along with his childhood friend Issa Gold, with whom he formed the group in 2011. Akeem, along with his duo partner Issa Gold, are also part of the supergroup Clockwork Indigo, in which they formed with their long term friends, Flatbush Zombies, a trio from New York. He is also of trinidadian descent.

Beast Coast is an American hip hop collective and supergroup from Brooklyn, New York, formed in 2012 by the members of Pro Era, Flatbush Zombies, and the Underachievers. The collective has been on multiple tours together, and their debut group album Escape from New York was released on May 24, 2019.
