The Martyrdom of Saint Catherine is a c. 1606 oil on canvas painting by Guido Reni, considered one of his most important early works and now held in the Diocesan Museum in Albenga. [1]

Sebastiano Folli (1568–1621) was an Italian painter of the late Renaissance period. He was a scholar of Alessandro Casolano, and a native of Siena. It is signed and dated "Laurentius Lotus 1533" and it measures 85.7 cm in height and 110.8 cm in width. Six later copies after the work are known. The Bergamo version is judged to be of exceptional quality, and the earliest.
