The Matrix Resurrections (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) is a 2021 soundtrack album from the film, The Matrix Resurrections . [1] WaterTower released the album on December 22, 2021. [2] [3]
In September 2021, Warner Bros. confirmed that Johnny Klimek and Tom Tykwer would be scoring the film, having previously collaborated with Wachowski on Sense8 and Cloud Atlas, [4] replacing Don Davis, who composed the score for the first three films, though Klimek and Tykwer feature themes and material written by Davis for the original Matrix films. The soundtrack was released on December 17, 2021. A track from the album titled "Neo and Trinity Theme (Johnny Klimek & Tom Tykwer Exomorph Remix)" was released as a single on December 10. [7]

The Matrix is a 1999 science fiction action film written and directed by the Wachowskis. It is the first installment in the Matrix film series, starring Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, Carrie-Anne Moss, Hugo Weaving, and Joe Pantoliano, and depicts a dystopian future in which humanity is unknowingly trapped inside the Matrix, a simulated reality that intelligent machines have created to distract humans while using their bodies as an energy source. Cloud Atlas (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) is the soundtrack to the 2012 film Cloud Atlas directed by the Wachowskis and Tom Tykwer, who co-composed the score with Reinhold Heil and Johnny Klimek. The film contains approximately two hours of original music. WaterTower Music and Sony Classical Records released the soundtrack album via digital download on 23 October 2012 and CD on 13 November 2012. It was further nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score.
