The Mega and the Songwriter is an interactive musical variety talk show produced by the TV5 Entertainment Group which airs every Sunday at 9:00pm on TV5. It hosted by Sharon Cuneta and Ogie Alcasid. The show features several music guests ranging from established acts to veteran singers. The show features various segments that encourages viewers to interact with the show through various social networking sites. [1]

History

Launched on September 15, 2013, it is one of the 8 newly launched weekend programs under the "Weekend Do It Better" block of the network. [2] The show is also Alcasid's first project under the channel following his transfer from GMA Network on August 6. [3]

Last November 10, 2013, TMTS broadcast live for the first time; conducting a 5-hour live telethon special dedicated to the victims of Typhoon Yolanda. TV5 through the Alagang Kapatid Foundation, Inc. have raised P30 million pesos for the families affected by the Super Typhoon. [4]

Regina Encarnacion Ansong Velasquez, known by her stage name Regine Velasquez, is a Filipina singer and actress. Your Face Sounds Familiar is a singing and impersonation competition for celebrities and is based on the Spanish version of the same name. It debuted on March 14, 2015, on ABS-CBN, replacing The Voice of the Philippines. Luis Manzano currently serves as host since Season 3. It was Originally hosted by Billy Crawford for the first two seasons, and for the second season, also co-hosted by Melai Cantiveros. Jed Madela, Gary Valenciano and Sharon Cuneta served as the show's judges for the first two seasons. In Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids, Ogie Alcasid replaces Madela, while Valenciano and Cuneta reprised their roles as judges. The Kids season premiered on January 7, 2017. The show's third season ended on May 30, 2021, and was replaced by Everybody, Sing!.

The Gift is a Philippine drama series to be broadcast by TV5 starring Ogie Alcasid and Ara Mina. It is set to premiere on October 14, 2013 on the network's primetime block. However, Ogie Alcasid says that show will be delayed on October 14, 2013 and nothing plans to airing date because TV5 decided to shelve it. Ogie Alcasid says "Ogie Alcasid on the decision of TV5 management to postpone airing of The Gift, his first teleserye in his new home studio: "Meron din akong hunch na dahil siguro nagustuhan nila yung si Sharon [Cuneta] na medyo comedy [sa Madam Chairman]. Baka gusto nila ganun. Kasi very dramatic yung first two weeks [ng The Gift] na ginawa namin, as in, ang bigat. I'm just… hinuhulaan ko lang kung ano yung effect. I think gusto nila masaya lang since Happy Network nga ang TV5."

<i>Born to Be a Star</i> (TV series) Filipino TV series or program

Born to Be a Star is a reality-singing competition produced by TV5 and Viva Entertainment. It was one of the first of many co-productions of TV5 with Viva. The program started on February 6, 2016, and aired every Sunday nights on the same channel. The second season of the program started on January 30, 2021, and aired every Saturday nights on the channel.

The first season of Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids was a singing and impersonation competition for celebrity kids on ABS-CBN. It is the first season of the kids version of the said competition. Gary Valenciano and Sharon Cuneta reprise their former duties, however this time, along with new jury Ogie Alcasid, who replaced Jed Madela for the third season. Billy Crawford also return as a host.

Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids is a spin-off of the singing and impersonation competition for celebrities Your Face Sounds Familiar. The show debuted on January 7, 2017, on ABS-CBN, replacing Pinoy Boyband Superstar. The show is hosted by Billy Crawford, with Sharon Cuneta, Gary Valenciano and Ogie Alcasid serves as the show's judges. The show ended on August 19, 2018, and was replaced by The Kids' Choice.

The second season of Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids was a singing and impersonation competition for child celebrities on ABS-CBN. Gary Valenciano, Sharon Cuneta, and Ogie Alcasid reprised their jury duties. Jed Madela, a judge in the first and second seasons of the regular edition, and Nyoy Volante, season 1 runner-up, served as the mentors of the contestants. Billy Crawford also returns as the host.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Iconic (concert)</span> 2019 tour by Sharon Cuneta and Regine Velasquez

Iconic was a co-headlining concert tour by Filipino singers Sharon Cuneta and Regine Velasquez. Comprising 16 shows, it began on October 18, 2019, at the Araneta Coliseum in Manila and visited the United States. The tour is set to conclude on March 26, 2023, in Los Angeles. Initially conceived to include a six-date North American leg in May 2020, the tour was rescheduled and new shows were added after it was delayed by two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It resumed in June 2022 at the Resorts World Manila. The shows in the Philippines featured guest appearances by Pilita Corrales, Jeremy Glinoga, and Zephanie Dimaranan. In December 2022, another tour leg in North America was announced with shows scheduled to begin on March 17, 2023.
