The Method is the second full-length album by New York hardcore band, Killing Time. It was recorded between June and August 1996 and released on Blackout Records in April 1997. It was the band's first full-length release since 1989's Brightside, but the band split up soon after its release, despite its success in the hardcore punk field. Drago is now a police officer, Comunale works in the field of finances, and the rest of the band are still involved in the scene – either playing with bands, or managing and producing them.
The band's previous effort had been a 1992 EP, Happy Hour – the title track of which they re-recorded for this release – and a 1995 EP, Unavoidable, which contained versions of three of the songs on this album. Dean Rispler, bass player with fellow NYHC band, Murphy's Law co-produced the album with the band. The album also contains a cover version of a Major Conflict track, "Outgroup".
Overview
Seven years on from Brightside and it would seem the band have not changed. The songs are, once again, short and brutal with not a single one clocking in at over three minutes. However, they had coped with the rejection and apathy towards their 1992 Happy Hour EP material by extracting the good parts – the increased melody and technical guitar work – and combined it with the attitude and brutality of the Raw Deal/Brightside seminal material. The addition of a second guitarist in 1991 had allowed the band to expand the sound in the first place and on this album it serves to thicken the sound and allow for the odd – albeit short, but nevertheless appropriate – guitar solo. The band hadn't just gone for speed and brutality either with the inclusion of a few slower, more thoughtful tracks which is the band, kind of, saying, "Listen up! We can play both ways!".

Thicker than Water is the second album released by H2O. It was released on October 7, 1997. It was their first of two albums to be released on Epitaph Records. The album peaked at #42 on Billboard Top Heatseekers chart in October 1997.
Sheer Terror are an American hardcore punk band from New York City. The band was one of the first to combine elements of heavy metal with a hardcore punk base, pioneering a heavier style of hardcore that would create many bands in the following decades. Formed in late 1984, the band stayed together until 1998, through numerous lineup changes and shifts in musical style. In October 2004, the band reunited and gave two shows at New York City's CBGB Club.
Love the Music, Hate The Kids is New Jersey, USA, hardcore punk band Ensign's fourth full-length album. It is an album of cover versions of seminal hardcore punk songs from the early-1980s to mid-1990s. It was recorded in seven days and released in October 2003. It was the band's first album for Blackout Records after switching from Nitro Records after the release of The Price of Progression in 2001.
Three Years Two Months Eleven Days was an album of early material, often referred to as a retrospective, by the New Jersey, U.S. band, Ensign. Recorded in various sessions between January, 1996 and July, 1998 – including a live recording – and with varying members, it was released by the band's first record label, Indecision Records in April, 2000.
For What It's Worth is an EP by New Jersey hardcore punk band, Ensign. It was released in October, 2000 by Nitro Records and was the band's second release for the label following their first full-length album after leaving Indecision Records, Cast the First Stone. It was recorded in June, 2000 in New York City and at the same time the band produced two further tracks which appeared on the Death By Stereo/Ensign Split 7" (EP) on Indecision Records in December, 2000. The track, "Cast In Shadows" was later re-recorded and appeared on their next album for Nitro Records, The Price of Progression. Another track, "Left Hand Syndrome", was destined for the same release, according to the inlay details, but eventually was omitted.
Posthumous is a five track EP from the American hardcore punk/metalcore band, The Banner. Originally recorded as the band's first demo, it was handed at out the band's local shows to fans and attendees. As a result of the popular demo tape, the band won a contract with local New Jersey punk specialist label, Blackout! Records. The demo was then renamed "Posthumous" and re-released as a CD-EP. It was the first of two recordings the band released with Blackout! before leaving for Ferret Music. It was released in June, 2003.
Your Murder Mixtape is the first full-length album from New Jersey, U.S. band, The Banner. It was released on Blackout Records in December, 2003 and it follows the Posthumous EP which was released in the same year. The album takes influence from several musical styles with an overall melodic hardcore sound.
Each Breath Haunted is the second full-length album from New Jersey, U.S. hardcore punk band, The Banner. It was released in August, 2005 on the Ferret Music record label. It follows their late 2003 release of Your Murder Mixtape and the EP, Posthumous. This album's sound is heavily influenced by The Misfits. In addition, the horrorcore imagery prevalent in all their works continues on this album, this time taking a more gothic horror direction with lyrics about mythical subjects such as werewolves, vampires, and other hell-beasts. The cover was created by the vocalist, Joey Southside, a professional dark comic cartoonist.
Killing Time is a New York hardcore band. From their beginnings in 1988, under the name Raw Deal, they went on to record two full-length albums and several EPs, singles, and compilation tracks. The band went through three hiatuses before formally disbanding in 1998. However, the band re-formed in 2006 and has been touring/playing since. Work on their third full-length album was completed in March 2009.
Brightside was the first of three full-length albums released by New York hardcore band Killing Time. It was released in November 1989 on In Effect Records, a division of Relativity Records, and subsequently re-released in 1995 by Lost & Found Records in Europe, and Victory Records in the U.S. – both with bonus tracks. Both reissue versions have three tracks from the Happy Hour EP released in 1992.
