The Oxford School is a school in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India, run by the Manarul Huda Trust, a charitable trust registered in India. The school was built in 2005, and is one of four schools under the same trust. The school follows the CBSE syllabus. [1] There are about 1300 students from Kindergarten to Higher Secondary. Its one of the few schools in Kerala offering EYFS for preschool students.
The school organizes an annual Science Exhibitions named OXPO, [2] in which all students from the school as well as the neighboring schools take part in. Student from different clubs devote themselves to creating presentations. Judges are called and prizes distributed from the special guest.
During summer holidays, the school host 'Oxford Badminton Tournament' in association with Trivandrum District Badminton (Shuttle) Association. [3] Events are scheduled under 7 categories

Students take part in extra-curricular activities such as sports, martial arts, swimming, and arts classes from 2:30 to 2:55 pm every afternoon. Extra classes are also held to further any student's special interests like Swimming, Kalari, Karate, Roller-skating etc.

The College of Engineering Trivandrum, commonly known as CET, is the first engineering college in Kerala, situated in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala. It was founded in 1939 during the reign of the Travancore King, Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma.
In 1960, Fr. Joseph Edamaram, S.J., the first Provincial of the Jesuits in the independent Kerala province, helped found Loyola School and the adjacent Loyola College of Social Sciences in Trivandrum. He clinched six National Championships title, once in the men's doubles and five times in the mixed doubles. He represented India in the 2012 London Olympics, became the first Indian player to participate at the Olympics in the mixed doubles alongside Jwala Gutta. He is the winner of Arjuna Award 2014, given by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, government of India to recognize his outstanding achievement in National sports. He is also the winner of G. V. Raja awards, which is the highest government-level recognition for sports persons in Kerala. He is winner of Jimmy George award 2014. He is also winner of Vivekanandha sports excellence award 2014. He won the Youth excellence award also in 2014.He is the only mixed doubles player from India to reach top 10 in the world badminton ranking(BWF) .His highest ranking is number 6th in world ranking.

Rajah Menuri Venkata Gurusaidutt or R. M. V. Gurusaidutt or Gurusai Dutt born to RMV Bharadwaj and RM Anjana is a badminton player from India. He trains at the Hyderabad's Gopichand Badminton Academy. He won the gold medal at the 2008 Commonwealth Youth Games and the bronze medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
The Sports Hub, Trivandrum, commonly known as Greenfield International Stadium, and formerly known as Trivandrum International Stadium, is a multi-purpose stadium in Kerala, used mainly for association football and cricket. The stadium is located at Kariavattom in Thiruvananthapuram city, Kerala, India. It was built on 36 acres of land leased by the Kerala University for ₹94 lakh (US$146,527.23) per year for a period of 15 years. It is India's first DBOT model outdoor stadium. The Greenfield Stadium became India's 50th international cricket venue on 7 November 2017 when it hosted a T20I against New Zealand. On 1 November 2018, the venue hosted its first ODI.

Virgil Soeroredjo is a former Surinamese badminton player and now coach. He competed for Suriname at the 2012 Summer Olympics. He also competed for Suriname at 3 Pan Am Games: the 2003 Pan American Games, the 2007 Pan American Games & the 2011 Pan American Games. As a young badminton player of the club SCVU in Suriname Virgil Soeroredjo won numerous juniors titles and was soon selected to represent his country abroad winning several juniors medals at Caribbean, Central American and South American events. Much of his success was with his doubles partner Mitchel Wongsodikromo.
Bhamidipati Sai Praneeth is an Indian badminton player. He became the first Indian male shuttler in 36 years to win a bronze medal in the BWF World Championships in 2019 after Prakash Padukone in 1983. Sai Praneeth was honoured with the Arjun Award in 2019.

Yew Hong Kheng is a Malaysian male badminton player. He started playing badminton at the primary school when he was 10. In 2008, he won the gold medal at the 2008 Commonwealth Youth Games in Pune, India. He won the boys' doubles title at the 2010 BWF World Junior Championships partnered with Ow Yao Han, and in 2011 he joined the Malaysia national badminton team. In 2015, he won the Iran Fajr International tournament in the men's doubles event with Tai An Khang. In December 2015, he quit from the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM).
