The Power and the Myth is the fourth studio album and the first since the reunion, by House of Lords, released on August 3, 2004.
The album marks the return of original members Chuck Wright, Lanny Cordola and Ken Mary, but is the first not to feature keyboardist, main songwriter and founding member Gregg Giuffria.
Then Mr. Big drummer Pat Torpey co-wrote many of the songs on the album.

As well as playing for other various singers and artists such as; John Parr, Belinda Carlisle, Robert Plant, Montrose, Richie Kotzen and The Knack. Torpey had also recorded with Impellitteri and Ted Nugent.

Chuck Wright is an American bassist, best known as a member of the hard rock/heavy metal band Quiet Riot. He originally joined Quiet Riot in 1982, playing bass on the tracks "Metal Health " and "Don't Wanna Let You Go," as well as singing background vocals on all tracks from the 1983 album Metal Health.
Hollywood Zen is Velvet Revolver and ex-Guns N' Roses drummer Matt Sorum's first solo release. It draws on his own experiences with touring, addictions, relationships and his hometown of Los Angeles. Co-produced with Lanny Cordola, and engineered and mixed by Kevin Smith, it features musical appearances by several of Sorum's friends, most notably former Guns N' Roses and Velvet Revolver bandmates Slash and Duff McKagan playing guitar and bass on various tracks. The recording of the album was completed while Velvet Revolver was putting together their finalized line-up.
