The Sensitive Kind is an upcoming American television series created by Sterlin Harjo for FX. It will star Ethan Hawke.

The series is set in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and features a man "who knows too much". [1]

Production

A drama pilot entitled The Sensitive Kind created and executive produced by Sterlin Harjo and starring Ethan Hawke was announced in February 2024 by American television channel FX. [2] Hawke was also an executive producer alongside Garrett Basch and it was produced by FX Productions. [3]

The pilot was filmed in Oklahoma in April and May 2024. The cast of the pilot included Keith David, Siena East, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Tim Blake Nelson, Scott Shepherd, Tracy Letts, Kyle Maclachlan, and Macon Blair, as well as Kaniehtiio Horn, Killer Mike, Cody Lightning, Michael Hitchcock, and Ryan Kiera Armstrong. It received a series order by FX in October 2024. [4] [5] Principal photography is expected to began on February 10, 2025 [6]

Broadcast

The series is expected to be broadcast on FX in 2025. [7]

In the episode, a group of students at a boarding school on an Indian reservation attend a party where they prepare for their futures. It was released on FX on Hulu on August 23, 2023. The episode takes place in 1976 and features no appearances by the main cast.
