L.A. is the 23rd studio album by the Beach Boys, released on March 19, 1979. Produced by Bruce Johnston, James William Guercio and the band itself, the album was the Beach Boys' first on CBS Records, and the first to feature contributions from Johnston since his departure from the band in 1972. Johnston was brought in when it became clear that the ailing Brian Wilson was in no fit state to produce the album, and he has remained in the band ever since.

Released on May 10, 1984, the album features the band's two biggest hits, "We're Not Gonna Take It" and "I Wanna Rock". It also features the power ballad "The Price". Good Timin': Live at Knebworth, England 1980 is a CD and DVD release of a concert performance by the Beach Boys at Knebworth, Hertfordshire in June 1980. Because of Brian Wilson's limited tour schedule with the Beach Boys, Knebworth is the only live album to feature Beach Boys Brian Wilson, Dennis Wilson, Carl Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine and Bruce Johnston together until later two live albums featuring all 6 band members, two recorded in 1979 and 4 recorded in 1983 which are unreleased but will be released. The concert, a shared bill with Mike Oldfield and Santana, was also their last major UK performance together until their 2012 reunion tour.

The band originally recorded the song on their 2003 Jeff Killed John EP. It is their highest charting single in the UK, peaking at number 29. It is arguably the softest song on The Poison due to its use of an acoustic guitar and minimal screaming.

The Poison: Live at Brixton is a DVD released on 30 October 2006 in the United Kingdom and was released on 19 December 2006 in the United States. The DVD is of Bullet for My Valentine performing live at the Brixton Academy on 28 January 2006, shortly before frontman Matt Tuck began to experience throat and vocals problems. It was released in Japan as a CD/DVD Box. The CD included the complete concert at Brixton as an audio. In 2017, they released Live From Brixton Chapter Two, a two-night performance celebrating the 10th anniversary of their first album The Poison.

2017 Tommy & More was a United Kingdom 7-date concert tour by British band The Who. The first two nights saw the band performing live in its entirety their 1969 studio album Tommy along with a few classics, with the rest of the tour featuring an extended Tommy set as a centerpiece to an otherwise greatest hits show.
