The fourteenth season of the talent show The Voice of Germany will premiere in September 2024. The show will be broadcast by two local TV stations, ProSieben and Sat.1, during the Blind Auditions and the Battles.

Samu Haber and Yvonne Catterfeld returned as coaches after a three-season absence, as well as Mark Forster, who returns after a one-season absence. [1] The three returning coaches were joined by Kamrad who made his debut as a coach. [2] Thore Schölermann returned for his thirteenth season as host, with Melissa Khalaj returning for her third season as host.

The Voice of Germany season 14 main coaches

In April 2024, ProSieben and Sat.1 announced that all four coaches from the previous season; Giovanni Zarrella, Bill & Tom Kaulitz, Shirin David, and Ronan Keating [3] ; would depart the panel for the upcoming fourteenth season. This marks the second season to have all coaches from the previous panel replaced, following season 13. On 18 May 2024, it was announced that previous coaches Mark Forster, Yvonne Catterfeld, and Samu Haber would return for their seventh, fifth, and sixth seasons, respectively. They were joined by Kamrad who made his debut as a coach this season. [4]

Blind Auditions

The Blind Auditions will begin broadcasting in September 2024, being broadcast every Thursday on ProSieben and every Friday on Sat.1. This season, the blocks, which were introduced last season, returned. Each coach is allowed to block another coach thrice. Only one block is allowed per audition; once a coach already used their block, the other coaches are not allowed to use their block.

Yvonne Catterfeld is a German singer, actress and television personality. Born and raised in Erfurt, Thuringia, she later moved to Leipzig to pursue her career in music. In 2000, she participated in the debut season of the singing competition series Stimme 2000, where she came in second place. Catterfeld subsequently signed a recording deal with Hansa Records, which released her debut single "Bum" in 2001. The same year, she was propelled to stardom when she was cast in a main role in the German soap opera Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten. The Voice of Germany is a German reality talent show that premiered on 9 October 2014 on ProSieben and Sat.1. Based on the reality singing competition The Voice of Holland, the series was created by Dutch television producer John de Mol. It is part of an international series. Only one judge from season 3, Samu Haber, singer of the Finnish pop-rock band Sunrise Avenue was retained for season 4. The other three judges of season 3, Nena, The BossHoss and Max Herre were replaced. Nena and The BossHoss had served for the program's all three previous seasons and Herre had been a new judge in season 3. They were replaced by the returning judge, the Irish singer-songwriter, guitarist Rea Garvey, a judge for seasons 1 and 2 coming back after a hiatus of a year. Stefanie Kloß lead singer of the band Silbermond resided for the first time in the series. So did the two collaborating judges sitting together, the German artists Michi Beck and Smudo both part of German hip hop group Die Fantastischen Vier. On 12 December 2014, Charley Ann Schmutzler was announced the winner of the season, marking Michi & Smudo's first win as a coach and the second duo coach to win in the show's history. Also, Schmutzler became the first winning artist to have only received one chair turn in the blind auditions.

The sixth season of the German singing competition The Masked Singer premiered on 19 March 2022 on ProSieben. Ruth Moschner and Rea Garvey returned to the panel. Matthias Opdenhövel also returned as host. Thore Schölermann hosted only the first episode after Opdenhövel tested positive for COVID-19.

The twelfth season of the talent show The Voice of Germany premiered on 18 August 2022. The show was broadcast by two local TV stations, ProSieben and Sat.1, during the Blind Auditions and the Battles. The rest episodes of the season were broadcast by Sat.1 only.
