The Ward Brothers were a British pop-rock band, who scored a top 40 hit in the UK with their 1986 single "Cross That Bridge".
The Ward Brothers formed in Barnsley, England in 1986, [1] with vocalist and drummer Dave Ward, keyboardist Derek Ward and guitarist Graham Ward. [2] [3] The band signed to Siren Records in 1986 and released four singles and an album.
Their debut single "Easy Prey" was not a commercial success, but the follow-up, "Cross That Bridge", broke the band into the Top 40 when it reached at No. 32 on the UK Singles Chart in early 1987. [4] The follow-up, "Why Do You Run?", reached No. 81 in the UK, and a final single, "I Trusted You", failed to chart. The album, Madness of It All , which was released in 1987, was produced by Mike Howlett. Don Was and Frank Filipetti produced the title track, and Was produced "Cross That Bridge". [5]
In 1988, album's title track appeared in the episode "Love at First Sight" of the series Miami Vice . [6] The song also appeared in the 1986 film The American Way , [7] and "Why Do You Run?" appeared in the 1987 film Stakeout . [8]
The band re-emerged in 1994 with a new album, Wave Goodbye to Grandma, which was released by the Serious Recording Company. It was re-released two years later on Prestige Records. [9] The 1996 re-issue spawned one single, "Friends", which was released in the UK and the Netherlands. [10]

Arcadia were a new wave British group formed in 1985 by Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, and Roger Taylor of Duran Duran as a side project during a break in the band's schedule. The project was only active during 1985 and 1986 for just one album, So Red the Rose, which was certified Platinum in the United States and included the singles "Election Day", "Goodbye Is Forever", "The Flame" and "The Promise ". Daniel Mark (Woody) Woodgate is an English musician, songwriter, composer and record producer. In a career spanning more than 30 years, Woodgate came to prominence in the late 1970s as the drummer for the English ska band Madness and went on to become a member of the Anglo-American alternative rock band Voice of the Beehive in the late 1980s. Woodgate began his solo career in 2015, while still a member of Madness, releasing the album In Your Mind.

Kick Axe is a Canadian heavy metal band from Regina, Saskatchewan. Influenced by rambunctious arena rock from the 70s and early 80s, the group is perhaps best known for their 1984 album Vices, praised by publications such as AllMusic for its "down-and-dirty guitar riffs" and notably managing to crack the American market. The band achieved moderate commercial success in the mid-1980s on the strength of the singles "Heavy Metal Shuffle", "On the Road to Rock", "With a Little Help from My Friends" and "Rock the World". Following the release of their 1986 album Rock the World, Kick Axe disbanded and remained on hiatus for many years. In 2004, they re-emerged with the album Kick Axe IV.

Michael J. Mullins is an English lead vocalist, backing singer and songwriter, best known as the lead singer of salsa band Modern Romance (1982–85). Modern Romance achieved eight top 40 singles and two hit albums.
