Mis-Teeq were a British girl group, consisting of Alesha Dixon, Su-Elise Nash and Sabrina Washington. They had two top-ten albums and seven consecutive top-ten singles, with chart-topping success on the UK Singles Chart as well as across Europe, Asia, Australasia and the US. The group had originally been a quartet with Zena McNally who left in January 2001.

The Entertainer is the third studio album by English singer Alesha Dixon. It was first released by Asylum Records on 29 November 2010 in the United Kingdom. A tougher album with lots of different layers, Dixon worked with a variety of musicians on the album, including a larger number of American producers such as Jim Beanz, Busbee, Toby Gad, Rodney Jerkins and The Stereotypes, as well as British DJ Naughty Boy and frequent collaborators such as the Danish duo Soulshock & Karlin. Originally planned to be named Unleashed, The Entertainer was decided upon instead.

"Do It Our Way (Play)" is a song performed by British recording artist Alesha Dixon. It was released on 1 January 2012 to digital outlets in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Co-written by Dixon herself, Ray Hedges and Nigel Butler and produced by Hedges and Butler, the song was written and released as a promotional single to complement advertising by weight loss company Weight Watchers. The television advert (doubling as a music video), when aired in full, was one of the longest to ever run on British television. Dixon features alongside over 180 "success stories" of the Weight Watchers programme in the video. Despite critics noting comparisons between the song and Jessie J's "Price Tag" (2011), it reached number 53 on the UK Singles Chart the week following its release.
"Young" is the debut solo single by British singer Tulisa from her debut album The Female Boss (2012). It was written by Pete Ibsen, Richard Rawson and Ali Tennant, while the production was handled by the former two. Upon discovering that the song was meant for another singer, Tulisa chose to record it herself. The track was originally titled "We Are Young" but was renamed to merely "Young" to avoid confusion with the 2012 Fun song of the same name. The dance-pop song is about making mistakes while being young. "Young" was initially slated for release on 6 May 2012. However, it was only issued on 27 April in Ireland and the United Kingdom by All Around the World and Island Records for digital download and streaming.
Do It for Love is the fourth studio album by English singer Alesha Dixon. It was released by Precious Stone Records, Dixon's own label, on 9 October 2015 in the United Kingdom. Her first release with independent label Precious Stone following her departure from Asylum Records, Dixon spent a year recording the album, which saw her taking a more active role in selecting co-workers and collaborators for Do It for Love. Chris Ballard, Bert Elliott, Alex James, Count Justice, Harry Sommerdahl, and Arno Spires were consulted to work with her.

The hip hop and electropop song, written by will.i.am and Minaj, samples the 1979 hit single "Video Killed the Radio Star" by the Buggles. After release, it debuted on the US Billboard Hot 100 at No. 78 and on the Canadian Hot 100 at No. 48. It appears on Minaj's first album, Pink Friday, though it was not released to promote the album. The special remix released in the UK features the British recording artist Cheryl Cole. The song peaked at No. 24 on the Billboard Hot 100 By December 2013, it has sold 780,000 digital downloads.
