Critical

The album received positive reviews from critics. AllMusic reviewer James Christopher Monger compared the album to blues rock bands such as Cream and Led Zeppelin and modern hard rock bands like Soundgarden, Black Stone Cherry and Velvet Revolver. He called the album "hard-hitting, fun, yet meticulously crafted 21st century rock that manages to celebrate the past and kick open new doors." [1]

Commercial

Released on July 23, 2013, it sold 10,200 copies in the United States in its first week, and reached No. 27 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. [3] It also debuted at No. 5 on Billboard's Top Rock Albums, [4] No. 3 on Alternative Albums, [5] and No. 4 on Independent Albums. [6] The album has sold 58,000 copies in the United States as of September 2015. [7]

On the Japanese edition of the album, the track "Criminal" replaced "Time Machine" on the track listing. The order in which the songs are listed remains the same.

Sway is the seventh studio album by Blue October. It was recorded at Fire Station Studio in San Marcos, Texas, with co-producer David Castell in February and March 2013. Additional recording sessions for strings and vocal overdubs took place at Test Tube Audio in Austin, Texas, in April 2013, and the album was mixed at Studio 62 in Austin by Tim Palmer between May and July 2013. Production credit for the album is shared between Justin Furstenfeld, David Castell and Tim Palmer. New Demons is the fourth studio album by American electronicore band I See Stars, released on October 22, 2013 through Sumerian Records. The album was originally set for release on August 13, before being pushed back to September 17, and again to October 22 for unknown reasons. The album marks a progression of the sound in their previous album Digital Renegade, with Zach Johnson having a much bigger vocal role, as well as having a much more prominent EDM sound.
