Theodore H. Kattouf (born 1946 Altoona,Pennsylvania) is an American diplomat. [1]
Kattouf graduated from the Pennsylvania State University in 1968. He served in the United States Army,attaining the rank of captain. He joined the Foreign Service in 1972. In 1982–83,he was a Department of State fellow at Princeton University. [2]
He was Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates from 1999 to 2001. [3] He was Ambassador to Syria from 2002 to 2003.
He was President and CEO of Amideast,beginning on September 2,2003. [4] He retired in June of 2022. [5]
On June 23,2024,his son Paul was killed in road-rage incident. [6] [7]

Interstate 83 (I-83) is an Interstate Highway located in the states of Maryland and Pennsylvania in the Eastern United States. Its southern terminus is at a signalized intersection with Fayette Street in Baltimore,Maryland;its northern terminus is at I-81 near Harrisburg,Pennsylvania. I-83 runs from Downtown Baltimore north to I-695 near the northern suburb of Timonium on the Jones Falls Expressway before forming a concurrency with I-695. After splitting from I-695,the route follows the Baltimore–Harrisburg Expressway north to the border between Maryland and Pennsylvania. Upon crossing the state line,I-83 becomes the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States Memorial Highway and continues north through York toward the Harrisburg area. The route runs along the southern and eastern portion of the Capital Beltway that encircles Harrisburg before reaching its northern terminus.

George Washington Woodruff was an American college football player,rower,coach,teacher,lawyer and politician. He served as the head football coach at the University of Pennsylvania (1892–1901),the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign (1903),and Carlisle Indian Industrial School (1905),compiling a career college football record of 142–25–2. Woodruff's Penn teams of 1894,1895,and 1897 have been recognized as national champions. Woodruff was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as a coach in 1963.
The Samu incident or Battle of Samu was a large cross-border assault on 13 November 1966 by Israeli military on the Jordanian-controlled West Bank village of Samu in response to an al-Fatah land mine attack two days earlier near the West Bank border,which killed three Israeli soldiers on a border patrol. It purportedly originated from Jordanian territory. It was the largest Israeli military operation since the 1956 Suez Crisis and is considered to have been a contributing factor to the outbreak of the Six-Day War in 1967. Since 1965 Jordan had an active campaign to curb Fatah sabotage activities. The handling of the incident was widely criticised in Israeli political and military circles,and the United Nations responded with United Nations Security Council Resolution 228,censuring Israel for "violating the United Nations Charter and the General Armistice Agreement."
