Theresa E. "Terry" DeWitt (born 15 April 1963 in Fort Bragg, North Carolina) is an American former sport shooter who competed in the 1996 Summer Olympics. [1]

The men's hammer throw was a track and field athletics event held as part of the Athletics at the 1904 Summer Olympics programme. It was the second time the event was held. The competition was held on Monday, August 29, 1904. Six athletes from the United States competed. John Flanagan, the reigning champion, defended his gold medal and set a new Olympic record. John DeWitt took silver and Ralph Rose bronze. It was the second consecutive medal sweep for the United States in the event. Flanagan was the first man to earn multiple medals in the event; he would finish with three consecutive victories, a record not matched by anyone in the hammer throw.

Theresa Michalak is a German competitive swimmer and former European champion. She represented Germany at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, competing in the 200-metre individual medley and 4×200-metre freestyle relay. Michalak holds the German records for the 100-metre and 200-metre individual medley. She won the gold medal in the 100-metre individual medley at the 2011 European Short Course Swimming Championships.

Theresa Hope Spivey is a former gymnast. While at Georgia, she won the Honda-Broderick Award as the nation's top female gymnast in 1991. She currently resides in the Valdosta, GA area where she owns a gym. She competed for the United States national team at the 1988 Summer Olympics. She was inducted into the University of Georgia Circle of Honor in 2007 and the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame in Feb. 2015.

Harley de Witt "Doc" Strong was an American wrestler. He competed in the men's freestyle lightweight at the 1936 Summer Olympics. In 1952, he was arrested for public drunkenness, and shortly after being locked up, hanged himself with his belt wrapped around a cell bar.

Ed DeWitt was an American wrestler. He competed in the men's freestyle middleweight at the 1960 Summer Olympics. DeWitt wrestled collegiately for the University of Pittsburgh, where he was a NCAA champion and two-time All-American.

Guillaume Hoorickx otherwise Willem Hoorickx was a Belgian ice hockey player. He competed in the men's tournament at the 1928 Winter Olympics. During World War II, he worked as an agent for Victor Sukolov in the Red Orchestra network. He was imprisoned in the Mauthausen-Gusen concentration camp.

Theresa Riedl is an American luger. She competed in the women's singles event at the 1984 Winter Olympics.
